Thank god we play them already on Tuesday. Can't wait to get back to winning ways.

Hoping Shauny would start after couple of impressive cameos and a start for Dzeko too.

We've got three very very winnable games coming up which is perfect after yesterday (Aris, Notts County and Aris)

With de Jong and Balotelli back in contention we can make alot of changes for all three and not put progressing in doubt.

Dzeko to start all three
Balotelli to start in the two home games

City in Europe. Looking forward to this match immensely. It is good to havethe match quickly so we can wash the filth off us. If we play to our best, we will win.

I reckon we've got a max of 8 winnable games on the trot, so it's time to go for it. In fact, if we play like we did at the Swamp, we'll beat Chelsea as well. Draw a line in the sand now and look to win every match from hereon in.

I am reliably informed that Aris haven't lost at home in Europe for about 30 years, so don't be getting too giddy!!

Hope Dzeko will start, because he is more used to play (Continental) European games.

Expect big game from him!

It's just around the corner now, mere 50 hours till kick-off. I really can't wait for this to get the derby out of my mind.
and I love european matches when we're there

I reckon we should put in a strong side, we need a strong side more in this match than at home vs Notts County. Who do you think we'll put out there?

See it is on at 4.30pm on ITV4.

Agree with some of the earlier posts - be good to Dzeko/Balo get some game time and (hopefully) goals.

Yeah, cos the reserve side has done brilliantly so far, especially in the cups. I was optimistic at the start of the season due to the squad depth I thought we had. Then I saw how bad they and half the first team were.

He needs to play his best available 11 in every remaining game now. He/we have won the sum total of fuck all in this country in most people's living memory, so we are wrong to disrespect any trophy or opposition. Thought that about the Carling Cup too and we could all be looking forward to Wemley now, if he hadn't decided that he wasn't interested in that one either.

This game will be no walkover as mentioned above Aris haven't been beaten at home in European competition for many years. There is a mass blues meet up in the pub at Athens airport tomorrow at 3-00 with about 3 hours to kill before our conecting flight to Thesaloniki.
Cant wait, bring it on.

Great, no Dzeko in the squad. If we play the reserves and fuck this up I will be livid.

Sounds like we may be wheeling out the Gnomes for this one. I hope not.

The Dzeko not playing story came from GMR's Ian Cheeseman who tweeted that he had boarded a flight to Sarajevo this morning.

The Guardian's Daniel Taylor also had stated the same, and that it looked like a shadow team, or B team as he called it. However he has just put the following message on below: -

"Clearly going to be one of those days. #MCFC say Dzeko will be on trip to Greece. But @iancheeseman reports Dzeko flew to Sarajevo at 7am."

Make of it what you will.

Ha ha, guess I should've waited with writing my preview. Oh well, am working today, so it had to be done yesterday.

The optimist in me thinks Sarajevo is close to Thessaloniki and Dzeko will just arrive on a different flight.

Noolie -- you were right. Stand tall fuckface. don't let the media grind you down brother.

Also, don't be another brick in the wall.
