Ibra - "I'm not good enough to win trophies for City"

loads of articles about him turning us down so he can win trophies, shame he doesn't have the confidence to be a difference maker and relies on his team mates in a lesser league to win trophies for him
pity as he's meant to be quite good

Once he knows that Mancini was the only one who wanted him. Not the fans.

Pompus cunt - as soon as he moved to a top league that has pace in it, he lasted one season and got fucked off back to the slow motion of the Italian league.

I think a couple of us wanted him, me included.

I can see his point to some degree - because of his age he's saying he wants instant success over a 'project' which I think is fair enough.

And me. Questionable attitude but a great player imo.

I know we don't discuss it even though I think we all know it's coming, but who makes up for the massive hole Tevez leaves behind next season?

I have absolutely no idea and I'm really worried about that.

Cheers

I'll be fucking gutted if he goes.

Nobody is gonna come in and replace him in my opinion. If he goes not only will we need a striker, but we'll need a better midfield, a 1 for 1 will not fill the gap, we would have to improve in other spots to compensate for his loss.

daz, I think he is already gone mate. The quick retraction of his transfer request made me think that a deal has been struck at least verbally to let him move on in the summer.

Sadly, I don't think he is replaceable, there are maybe a half dozen players(maybe less) on the planet who tick all the boxes he does and it wouldn't be possible to sign them from a g14 side.

The thing that makes me think he's staying is the fact his kids are with him now. The sheik has pulled some strings to keep the lad happy. And he does seem to be very happy at the moment.

he'll stay - IF we are in the champs league, otherwise he will, understandably, fuck right off

i disagree. Our cunty Slimtastic friend is right. His about face was really about as transparent as Bellers about face. He got told something he needed to hear and promised shit that would shut his mouth. End of story. No way is he a City player in July. Not happening.

We'll be 8th next season at this rate if we don't basically spend 100M replacing what Tevez has offered to this side. Crazy.

cheers

Re: Ibrahimovic at Barcelona.
16 goals in 25 or 26 appearances, including two to settle a tie against Arsenal in the Champions League.
Personality disputes with Pep Guardiola were what let Ibrahimovic move to Milan, not an inability to adapt.

He hardly settled the tie though, admittedly they were two away goals, but he missed a host of chances in the first half to really bury Arsenal.

I'd still have him here though, even if there would be question marks about how he would cope with the likes of Huth/Shawcross etc.
