Hughes was quite right to be annoyed in my opinion.

A bloke who 'stole' his job hasn't got the guts to look at him during a handshake? Yeah, I'd be pissed off as well.

Mancini bottled it by not acknowledging Hughes was there. Therefore, Hughes took his hand back - and quite rightly so, I wouldn't shake the hand of a man who was refusing to look at me.

Exactly, a proper handshake should be strong and firm and look into the other blokes eyes. I hate wet lettuce handshakes and people turning their head they may as well not bother shaking your hand at all if they do that.
