A dark day at the Swamp

Just to think if there had been some 'value in the market' they could've bought Silva. God help them when Taggart retires:

redbred (Manchester United): It is a dark, dark day. I snesed it breqwing for the last 3 years and now it has arrived. The day when i realise i wont be renewing my season ticket... My hard earning money being directed away from new transfers and instead pumped into multi-million £ contracts for John O'Shea and Michael Carrick. What an aboslute farce. The lunatics are well and truelly running the asylum. The Carrick contract, this one piece of business has tilted me over the edge. Absolutely outrageous that this guy is actively encouraged to steal a better players wages.... Is this really what its come to now? Carrick is the best we can do for the next 3 years? In a footballing world that is more about entertainment than love of the game, Utd is fast becoming the back end of the comedy horse....

redengineer (Manchester United): Can this week get any worse? It's raining bad news for us today. First I hear Fergie's been charged for criticising a Chelsea fan and is most likely to face a lengthy touchline ban from those muppets that call themselves the FA. Then I hear Carrick for God knows what reason has been offered a new contract and of course the useless crab signs it. He was one of the players who I would have bet my house on would be shown the door this summer. Now it's looking more and more likely that we'll face another disappointing summer ahead with the same dross in midfield for next season. And to top it all off I've just heard Evans is in line to face Liverpool on Sunday. Same Evans who has been absolutely awful all season especially against big strikers. If Carroll makes his debut, he'll certainly relish playing against Evans the biggest coward of a defender I've ever seen. The idea of Brown in central defence doesn't inspire me with confidence either, but I'd rather have him back there then Evans, so hopefully if he does make the squad for Sunday it'll be for bench duty. Only way things can get any worse is if Gibson gets offered a new deal and he signs it. Can we please have some good news in the coming days, like Rio making a surprising recovery?

Johnny Evans has been a consistently horrible defender

There was a time when you could read their team sheet and know who their players were.

I mean, let's get real here...Who could ever be afraid of Evans, Carrick, G String Park, O'Shea, Brown, Gibson or Fletcher?
...and Taggart is looking more like that bloke who used to sit on a benchon market Street swigging paint thinners from a brown paper bag and shouting obscenities at the passers by.

Done by Chelsea last week...I really fancy the scousers (as bad as they are) to turn them over this week...
INVINCIBLES...MY FUCLIN ARSE...

Evans is horrible, I dont like any rag players but in reality I only really HATE a few. I would gladly press the accelerator if this twat stepped out in front of me.

You are right John and it fuckin amazes me that they still win games, mainly because they still have a lightening penetration at times and a will to win. But the cracks are there for all to see, and that is why Taggart is getting increasingly hysterical.

One thing he is not is an idiot, and if he can win the league this year I reckon he'll be off like a shot, in a final blaze of glory.

And then we'll see how long the whole rotten edifice lasts with those very average players!

The one thing I am praying for is that we reach the Cup Final against this shower of shite and give them a good hiding thus ending their "golden era" and us beginning our glorious ascension. Bring it on!!!

how can people time after time, suggest that ferguson is losing the plot? the way they've carried on over the last two decades, i wouldn't be surprised if carrick came good, nani became the next c.ronaldo, and considering they're the biggest club on the planet, they might just be able to get new investment and remain at the top. but yeh crack on telling me that 'this time it's different though...' they're top of the league right now, and still on for a treble so shut up and concentrate on what city are doing.
