I have just read that the Manchester City Council financial backing promised to FCSCUM, to develop their new stadium in Newton Heath, has been withdrawn....The blame is being put on the financial pressure on the council to cut spending.

This is sheer speculation but I find it very coincidental that in the same week that our club announce a huge investment in new East Manchester and a Joint Company being formed by MCFC, the City Council and the New East Manchester Development group. That the funding for a development within its area has been dumped....swimming,,,yes...speedway...yes...community footie pitches...yes FCSCUM....a huge...big...fat...NO!!!!!
