What have we done for this tool to dislike us so much. Listened to him yesterday on espn and he is so anti city you would think he was a rag (thats it maybe he is). After 1 min 18secs he going on about city slow play for christs sake and he never stopped until the 90min having digs at us, wont be listening to his prick in the future.

Why is it that every week there is a thread criticising a special comments commentator for saying EXACTLY the same thing we do. I too am frustrated with how slow we move the ball so why criticise a special comments bloke for being perceptive enough to note the same thing?

If he was slagging us off for our play, he was right. I've never felt so low after winning a football match, it was pathetic!

In fairness, it's not just City he slags off, it's everyone.

He's the Geordie version of Craig Burley. Unless the team is playing like Barcelona and every player has the skill level of Messi then they get a slating and in a way that intimates they could have easily done it if they were on the pitch. Think they are both just bitter they don't play anymore (although at least Chris Waddle was a talented player unilke Burley).

Unbelievable post, one of the worst I have ever read. We won, so what if it was 1-0, so what if it was Wigan. Give your head and body a double wobble and remember we won !!!!

Unless of course you want us to play great football and lose?

Dunno what was wrong with it, felt exactly the same way.

You are honestly saying you were happy with the way we played?

I am not saying we played well, far from it, but I could never feel low after watching City win a game. Low was 13 years ago losing to Bury at home, getting stick of Stockport fans coz they were in a higher leauge and beating us regularly, wycombe, York etc etc ....

Yes, but that was getting beaten.

He said he never felt so low after winning.

Not to say he couldn't feel worse(or lower) if we were beaten(or on another afternoon where we have been beaten).

Get off your soap box you soft twat. How about reading the post in the context of the thread? This is not us being singled out because we are 'Moneybags City' or some such shite. Waddle, or anyone else for that matter, has the right to describe our play in that manner because the fact is, we were shite.

Now I don't for one minute begrudge us 3 points, especially with teams around us dropping them, in fact, it brings me some solace. My point was that throughout the match my head dropped and I really didn't think we deserved the 3 points based on that performance.

And supporting City, I also know what low is. Around these parts you're not alone. I was there 13 years ago during this period you describe so eloquently, and longer. But that doesn't detract from my point, I have never felt so low after a win.

Because on ESPN the so-called 'expert summarising' consists of slagging off the 'bigger' team for 90 minutes. It's not just City it happens to, but it is very, very poor standard of work.

It was a bit of a poo display, but right now, after united, spuds, and arsenal all dropping points it don't look so bad.

He pretty much says the same thing everytime he is a pundit on one of our games. Generally saying that we play well in spells and then take our foot off the pedal letting the other team back in instead of killing the game off. Maybe they're holding a bit in reserve instead of burning out in the games that really matter.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I think it's just in his head. Despite his experience he doesn't seem to understand the Italian-style build-up at all. At least twice I can remember (once was on 5-live last season at Wolves) he has started banging on about our slow build-up, until before you know it we have struck 3 times and are 3-0 up.

Then he just shuts the fuck up.

Of course if it goes like the Wigan game he keeps banging on.

To be fair that sounds about right. When we went 2-0 up against Villa Mancini moved everyone back into our own half, enticing Villa on to us so we could hit them on the break. We haven't manage to do that very effectively this season (lack of pace?) but you can understand the tactic.

Here here Bingo Lad! Everyone knows what the target is...let's not take our eyes off the prize in the last quarter of the season!!!

Going back to the OP, I thought the sound mix on HD was absolutely shocking, because you could barely hear the commentary!
