Neven Subotic bids 'expected from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City'
Borussia Dortmund are readying themselves for big-money bids from Premier League giants including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City after English scouts were reported to have watched Neven Subotic at the weekend.
The £20million-rated centre-back helped his side keep another clean sheet as they saw off FC Koln 1-0 at the Westfalenstadion on Friday evening to go 12 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
But the game also attracted interest for the number of foreign scouts in attendance, with most thought to have been present to see Subotic in action.
A selection are thought to have been reporting back to Premier League teams, with at least three of England's current top four believed to be weighing up summer offers.
Subotic was linked with a move to Chelsea in January but the move never came to fruition after Dortmind chief Hans-Joachim Watzke ruled out selling the Serbian international mid-season.
However, he did say the club 'would consider' allowing Subotic to leave in the summer window, provided they receive a 'fantastic' offer for his services.

We'll Give 110% Says Dynamo Kyiv Midfielder
Dynamo Kyiv midfielder, Milos Ninkovic feels optimistic about his teams prospects against Manchester City in the Europa League knockout phase.
The 26-year-old Serbia international said...
'If we give 110% of our efforts, we have got a chance.'
'What do I think of Manchester City?' said Ninkovic. 'They can lure the best players and they have already gathered quite an impressive squad. I cannot even choose the best one among all these great players. Nonetheless, if we give 110% of our efforts, we have got a chance to proceed to the quarter-finals at their expense.'
Andriy Shevchenko played in two of Chelsea home wins against City during his time at Stamford Bridge, scoring in one of them added...
'The match was a real cracker for fans,' he said. 'I am also satisfied with my current form and to top it off, it is always nice to see your name on the scoreboard.'
The game takes place at the Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium, Thursday 10 March 2011, live on ITV4 for UK viewers.

Monday, Monday
Wigan. Here I go again (Whitesnake)! When is this global warming gonna kick in? Bitter wind again. Sublime first half, abysmal second – how Wigan didn’t equalise at the end no one knows. Why don’t we learn to play keep ball at the end of games? How many times? Good to see Simon Curtis's 'Down the Kippax steps' blog featured in the programme
Anyway 3 points in the bag, as we sat back and learned that the Arse had drawn,. Then the rags lost at the ‘Pool, they’ve sure had their cum uppance after the Rooney elbow at Wigan You could almost sympathise with Nani if he wasn’t such a little shit. Fergie and Phelan sulking after the game, no wonder everyone hates them. That little tug of Rafael’s perm was funny too. Well done the scousers, let’s hope they’ve cracked by the time we play em.
And well done Wolves too.
Somehow though, don’t you get the feeling that we’ve blown a great chance this season, what with Chelsea, rags, and Arsenal dropping points? Maybe if we’d picked a better 25 at the start of the season and strengthened in the transfer window in January we could now be in pole position? What’s the point of having money to burn if we don’t use it, and now we struggle to play two games a week cos we haven’t got a big enough squad? So a crucial week in front of us and it’s a fingers crossed job to see how we cope. Quarter finals of the Europa Cup, F. A. Cup semi-final, top 3 or 4, or do we have to perm one from three? Or none from three perich the thought. We’ll see.
Meanwhile David McDonnell in the manumirror pens yet another negative article whilst Pauk Hince, who really should be put out to grass, writes yet another Fergie fawning piece in the muen. Why Oh Why?
You tell me?

During February half term Manchester City’s PL4S programme joined up with the Club’s One City disability programme to create opportunities for young disabled people in Manchester.
The children had expert coaching in both badminton and table tennis which without the support of PL4S (funded by the Premier League) and One City disability (funded by PL/PFA community fund) would not have been possible.

Some of the children present had never had the opportunity to take part in these sports before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Several commented that they would be keen to attend the satellite sessions running throughout Manchester to continue their development within the sport.
Both programme coordinators, Lee Mannion and Daniel Landstrom agreed that the event was a huge success and will be looking to continue to work together to provide more opportunities for young disabled people looking to play different sports.
Daniel said: “all the young people engaged in the activities and learnt skills that they hadn’t attempted before. Some of the participants also showed lots of potential and high levels of skill as well as having fantastic day.”

FC United rebels smell a rat over Manchester City stadium deal
There is concern at Glazer-protest club FC United of Manchester about the city council blocking their plans for a new ground yet agreeing a joint venture with the world's richest team in the same area.
The fans-owned FC United, formed after the Glazer family bought Manchester United, secured permission for a £3.5million, 5,000-seater community stadium on the Ten Acres Lane site before the council withdrew their crucial £650,000 funding and lease approval.
Yet documents published in the same week outline a 10-year strategy in which Manchester City and the council, who receive £3m-a-year rent from the football club, will work together to regenerate the land around Eastlands - including Ten Acres Lane.
A City spokesman said: 'We have some say in how the council spends our rental income, but that has nothing to do with the decision on FC United's proposed ground.
That was down to the council, who have had to make huge budget cuts across the board.' FC United general manager Andy Walsh said: 'Our fans have suspicions about the council project with City coming so soon after our rejection. But we have been assured that the council will help us and are examining other sites.'

City & the council announce a development will be built which would be the best of it's kind in the country, in fact the only thing of it's kind anywhere, a breeding ground for elite athletes of the future, as well as transforming a deprived area into somewhere people from around the world want to visit, creating thousands of jobs..

The only report in the national press; how it stops FSCUM from building a piddling little ground nearby. (& City didn't give a shit about that anyway). These people are really reporting on our club from a neutral perspective? Really?

To be fair quite a few papers reported on our involvement a couple of weeks ago .... it's obviously taken FSCUM this long to think up their conspiracy theory which in turn the media are now reporting .... suckers

This more detailed & rather exciting announcement has only come into the public domain in the last few days though. Only the local paper has mentioned it.

The moon is not blue in your title badge. A bit of a slip up there, Rennie.

By the way, I voted for Balotelli (twice).
