What an irony we finally get a sniff of acheiving something (FA cup) and fixture congestion means our players are totally knackered. I am desperate we get a result at Reading but worried the Team will be unable to deliver due to fatique.
Why is there no means to sort this out? What do you think?

at the end of the day mate what can you really do? those draws with leicester and notts county haven't helped, so i can't help feeling that mancini's poor team selection has contributed massively to it. it's been two games a week since january really.

If we go back in time to when we were in the position Reading are in now & we were playing a team with the players City now have, away from home, then we heard they were complaining about being 'tired' what would our comments be?

to be fair 5 games in 11 days is quite demanding on the body. Not that our squad is exactly thin, but we have also dealt with injuries in some key areas. No excuses at all, but I also don't think it's right to discount 5 games in 11 days as a factor in performance.
If we put together a couple of strong performances and keep morale high, it can do a lot to push that tiredness to the back, but it's also a precarious position that we are in, in all comps basically.

I long for the time when I'll only have to work 450 minutes out of 15840

i know you're just being snarky, but that kind of gross over simplification is something the less subtle members of the board will pick up and run with.

But all in all football is crazy at all latitudes! And royals are a team with very strong character indeed!

Knackered. Pff. I'm nearly fifty and I spend a minimum of an hour exercising six days a week, often two or three hours. I don't get paid for it, it's self respect. Maybe I should just pack it all up and get fat like most ex-players do?
Lazy, pampered bastards.

Sigh......
I really thought this would have been drilled into people now.
Every single one of our players can play a game of football every day 365 days a year for the 15 year career they will have.
It is scientifically proven that footballers need 72 hours to recover from a 90 min game of football and that throughout a season they will also need breaks.
The tiredness issue is not about a bunch of overpaid pansies not being able to play a game of football, it is about a bunch of players not being able to play to the best of their abilities because believe it or not they are human, just like you lot who are 50 or work 40 hour weeks.
I'm happy we won today but i am not happy about the performance, we looked fucked, both physically and mentally and for the amount of money we pay we deserve to see players being able to perform to the best of their abilities, something needs to be done to reduce the amount of football being played. I'm tired going to all this games and i am just watching them.
