Some issues - Balo probably dropped, Milner and AJ back in contention. Dzeko worth a start?

Thoughts?

My team would be:

Hart
Richards...Kompany...Lescott...Kolarov
De Jong...Barry
Milner
Silva...Tevez
Dzeko

I'd only play Kolarov because we don't have anyone else. Milner should come in and play in the Yaya position, as Yaya is just absolutely shit (no other explanation needed).

The only difference I would make is perhaps to play Tevez up front alone with AJ supporting him with Silva. But depends on AJ's fitness.

As much as I would like us to have at least 2 strikers on the field, we often play our best football with Tevez up front alone.

I agree re playing Milner - but I'd drop Barry instead of Yaya tbh, I reckon Toure mk2 will be valuable in relieving Chelsea pressure tomorrow. Barry's form has been poor for a good few games now.

Dzeko/Tevez is a quandary. Edin looked good when he came on v Kiev, but you right about our best football resulting from Tevez up front on his jack. Who the fuck plays on the left tho? Wouldn't risk AJ from the start.

It's a tough one ... I agree. Yaya has been shit all season, in my opinion, but perhaps could be better played in a role slightly further back. Milner should play in the box-to-box/attacking midfielder position in my opinion.

My gut tells me to keep AJ as a sub. When he did play in the first half of the season, he was generally pretty poor when starting and gave the ball away almost every time. However, his appearances as a sub were generally impressive and game changing.

My team would be....

---------------Given-------------------
Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Bridge

--------Zabaleta---De Jong-----------

Johnson-------Barry-------Bellamy---

--------------Tevez -------------------

Reckon if we played with swift counter attacking football down the wings we could score 4 goals :-p

Don't be stupid MRM, that side would get murdered at the Bridge.

Lesser of two evils for me, Yaya cant tackle and pulls out of any near 50-50's but Barry is struggling and isnt good going forward with no pace ...

But i would give Milner a start alongside Barry - but we then need good attacking options going forward with Silva, Tev and Dzeko with AJ to join from the bench if requird

I agree with keeping AJ as a sub, but I am the only one who thinks Yaya has done well this season? He always looks more knackered than he actually is, he looks finished after 10 mins but is still running after 90. I have been quite impressed with him myself and would have no problem playing him

You're not the only one. I said in another thread that I didn't know what to make of him, based on his inability to complete 90 minutes without showing signs of exhaustion and his several frustrating moments each game, but when he is on the ball he looks generally positive and drives us into better areas of the pitch.

Sorry but some comments about Yaya are poor stuff, even for a footy forum where banter is the way of it.

My team would be

Jh
MR VK JL AK
JM NdJ YT GB DS
CT

You know that Mancini is never going to start Milner ahead of Ya Ya, don't you?

I'd play:

-----------------------------------Hart-----------------------------------
Richards--------------Kompany-------Lescott-----------------Kolarov
--------------------------------De Jong----------------------------------
AJ--------------------Milner--------------Barry--------------------Silva
---------------------------------Tevez-----------------------------------

That team should be plenty good enough to win and leave us enough solidity to ensure that we absolutely do not lose.

Second half if all going well I'd withdraw first Barry for Yaya. Then with 20 mins to go Tevez for Dzeko and 10 minutes left Balotelli for AJ
