Right now I would rather have Bridge at Left Back than Kolorov. Can we bring him back please?

Not even a close decision KK. Laurent Charvet would be better. FFS, anything, Kolarov is appalling. wtf is going on?

Was thinking exactly the same yesterday. It's amazing what a run of games can do for a player.

A wheelie bin or Kolarov?
Charlie Sheen or Kolarov?
40yo World of Warcraft virgin or Kolarov?
A man created out of empty coke cans and duct tape or Kolarov?
A piece of paper with the words "LEFT BACK" written on it or Kolarov?
Jade Goody's decaying corpse or Kolarov?

Get where I am going with this?

Bridge for me even though he's a very similar type of player.
Kolorov is pants.
We bought him for 19 million just cause he's got this amazing shot.

Overreaction imho. People forget how crap Bridge and Garrido were for the majority times just because they are not here anymore.

Yep, I think we can safely say that your point has been made.

I didn't think Garrido was all that bad to be honest. I realise that I may be in the minority in thinking this... but that doesn't make me wrong.

I think my first post on here was in defence of Garrido. Full back seems to be the main position for City scape goats...this is in no way a defence of Kolarov though, very poor today.

They don't, they just realise Kolarov is even worse.

He reminds me of Michael Tarnat. He was about 50 though.

Neither.

It's a bit shit when you consider the left backs at the othe top clubs

Utd: Evra
Chelski: Cole
Arse: Clichy
Spuds: Bale

City: Kolorov :-(

Neither.Kolarov is shite and Bridge never wanted to play for City, that much was obvious.

Garrido was superior to both.

Why the fvck we didn't give Everton the money is bizarre.

For 1.5million Garrido did ok,for 18million Kolorov is currently performing shite.

Baines from Everton was the solution to the problem.

Yeah right n how much would we have to pay to get this 'world class' left back?
20 million.
Held to ransom time n time again.

Garrido had a decent cross on him. He was okay at the time (finishing 9th was it?).

People need to realise how much faster this league is compared to Italy, Spain, Germany etc.
I'm not looking for excuses, he's been rubbish, but I bet in two years Kolarov would make a decent LB for a relegation battling side.

Bridge, after all these years in this league, is just a bottom half LB & not good enough for a Top 4/5/whatever team.

I think Baines would be the safe option, solid but no world beater. We'd have to pay silly money regardless, mind.

If the alternatives were (a) buy Baines instead of Kolarov in the first place for a couple of million more or (b) don't spend the money at all and have no world class left back (which Kolarov was billed as at the time) why would we not pay the money?
