Hmmm obviously a nonsense waste of time as we lose out to Spurs by 1 point.I had our game with them as a draw so we clearly have to win it get 4th.I knew that before I started.

This is the table I got:



The results I predicted for us are:

City - Sunderland 2-0
Liverpool - City 2-2
Blackburn - City 0-1
City - WHU 2-1
Everton - City 2-2
City - Tottenham 1-1
City - Stoke 2-1
Bolton - City 0-3

which I think are reasonable; we might lose at Anfield and Goodison, tbh, but that would be two points less in the table, still we would be ahead of Spurs even losing those two.

For Spurs I predicted:

Wigan - Tottenham 1-2
Tottenham - Stoke 1-1
Tottenham - Arsenal 3-3
Tottenham - WBA 2-1
Chelsea - Tottenham 1-1
Tottenham - Blackpool 2-1
City - Tottenham 1-1
Liverpool - Tottenham 1-1
Tottenham - Birmingham 2-1

which again seems reasonable enough; they might beat Stoke at home and get two more points, but even if they do and we lose at liverpool and everton, we would get 69 points and they would get 68. To be honest, draws with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are highly probable for them, so all comes down to the match against us.

If the results are like I predicted, and we draw at Liverpool and Everton while they draw at home with Stoke, we could even afford to lose the game with them and still be one point above. If we lose at Everton and Liverpool and they win with Stoke but the other results are like I predicted then the game with them becomes a "must not lose" and again, drawing it we would be one point up.

You have both teams going on an unbeaten run until the end of the season??

I dunno, I'm not going near that predictor - it just messes with my head :)

Yeah, sounds strange but really, the only games I can see us losing (but I don't think we will) are liverpool and everton away; as for spurs the only games I can see them losing are chelsea and Liverpool away and maybe Arsenal at home, but not all of them, I don't think they will lose more than one of those three; and I put them drawing at home with Stoke which could easily be a win instead, so I think all in all the unbeaten run for them is balanced by that home draw.

Of course I might be completely off course here and the results will be totally different, but right now that's how I see it :D

Well, I admit I'm hopelessly otpimistic, but before Christmas we had the best away record of the league if I'm not mistaken; that can't all be gone to shit, can it? We are bound to regain that sort of away form I think.
