I watched some clip of Niall Quinn not long ago.
And he said that he finds Sunderland the best team he played for over city.
Can't remember what clip it was.

I vaguely recall something from his autobiography in which he said that Arsenal made him a man, City made him a footballer, but Sunderland really got under his skin and are his real love. Doesn't make me think any less of him though, we were clubs going in different directions when he left and I worshipped him when he played for us.

Can't disagree with that - got nuff respeck for the man.

Still don't get why goater isn't on there and we've got no-one from the last 11 years or so?

firstly - whether the irish are a race apart or not is debatable.

secondly - it's an in-joke to our friend paulmclaren and if you're not party to it i apologise.

Well, firstly, the Irish are a genetically determinable group of people (and certainly not celtic).
Secondly, fair play. New on here so any in-jokes go straight over my head. I just saw your thread on Libya and thought I might have got the wrong end of the stick. Apologies...

Yeah I think he was either last season or at the end of the season before. They still haven't added his name to the Hall of Fame signage around Level 2 at CoMS though

I went on the Stadium tour yesterday...While i was looking round the ground, i noticed that the names of the city hall fo fame are exhibited around the ground at the back of level two. COLIN BELL OBE....THEN JOE MERCER...City have not put theOBE after his name and nobody seems to have noticed.
Billy Meredith is also displayed as a member...but the dates underneath his name only show his 1st spell with City 1894-1906...There is no acknowledgement of the fact he came back from the rags and played for city again until he retired a nimber years later.

Pointed this out...I wonder if it will get changed.
