Unfortunately he is exactly the right type of player for them, the amount of goals he has nicked just because he is in the right place when they barrage the 6 yard box with constant balls into it. Don't think he would look as good in our side.

Taggart has got 4 good players in his squad, the rest just work hard and do there jobs because he gets them to.

That team wouldn't finish in the top 6 under a different manager and if taggart had our squad he would win the treble without breaking a sweat.

Hernandez would do fuck all if he played for us. Similarly if Dzeko played for them he'd have about 10 goals & everyone would be wanking over him.


It's not possible at present to make comparisons as A: they put about 20 times as many balls into the box as we do & (even more importantly) B: oppo defenders shit themselves & make irrational decisions when playing the rags. The free kick Rooney scored from for instance was about the 3rd time a WH player knocked one of them over just outside the box for no reason other than sheer headless panic.

It can't go on forever if they continue to exhibit so many weaknesses though. They could have been badly turned over in almost every away game this season. Only the reputation is keeping them alive.

How true ted. It is amazing how much fear can affect a game. Malcolm Allison was horrified that the city team that played in the swamp derby in 1966 were terrified to go out...City lost. He vowed they would never be frightened of the rags again. we usually won.

It is true to say that we are what we belive we are. Teams believing they are inferior to the rags will usually lose. It is no coincidence that Blackpool, Wolves, West Brom and Leeds in last years FA Cup gave then a run around...They had nothing to lose and therefore no fear.

That's why I was so annoyed at our performance in the home game v them; it showed that no matter how much we spend & how strong we are, we're still scared of taking them on. Big Mal will turn in his grave if we ever do that again.

Not sure Hernandez would fail at City Ted.Simply because he has pace and that's an ingredient we are lacking.Add that to a goal instinct and you have a success story.I agree Dzeko would have scored quite a few there though.He will with us in time though so no problems there.

This. Gonna go out on a limp but I bet if Jo played in their team, even he would do better.
There is something about this shit team that makes average players punch way above their weight.... as much as I hate to admit it but I think the main reason for that is Ferguson... and of course the fact that this team is just so full of confidence and used to winning that it lifts players.

On the plus side... once Fergie is gone their downfall will only be accelerated.
