Manchester City are working closely with Greater Manchester Police and Royal Mail in connection with the theft of Special Delivery mail items from a Royal Mail van on Friday, April 1, 2011.
A number of tickets for the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium were stolen. All supporters impacted by the theft will be contacted by the club in the coming days.
Supporters are strongly advised not to purchase tickets from unofficial sources. Only tickets purchased direct from the club will be valid for the game.

Not surprising really as Royal Mail's "security" is on a par with Group 4.
Thankfully got mine safely in the post earlier last week. Just a ballache you can do without if you are affected.

I spoke to the ticket office yesterday. Mine was sent out on Thursday the 31st for delivery and I haven`t had it yet. They`ve told me if I haven`t received it by tomorrow (6th) to ring them. I hope I`m not one of the 900 nicked!!!
If they`re all barcoded can`t they re issue them and cancel the tickets nicked via the barcode or is that too intelligent for the fa?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-ma ... r-12968559Two special delivery bags, containing about 900 tickets, were taken from the van near the City of Manchester stadium on Friday evening, police said.
They had been collected from Eastlands for delivery to City fans before the game at Wembley on 16 April.
A Royal Mail worker has been arrested on suspicion of theft and bailed.
It is believed Greater Manchester Police raided two properties on Tuesday morning but no arrests were made.
The 39-year-old man was arrested soon after.

The Football Association have released a statement regarding the theft of tickets for the semi-final between Manchester City and Manchester United.
This statement confirms that Wembley Stadium will re-issue the stolen tickets to the Club, meaning that we will have our full allocation. Supporters are again reminded not to purchase tickets from unofficial sources. Only tickets purchased direct from the club will be valid for the game.
