I have to be in Holland working when the semi is on so can any of you Dutch types please tell me if the Semi is likely to be on TV over there & if so which channel is favourite?

If not, is it common that pubs have access to our broadcasts or am I clutching at straws?

I don't even know what town I'm that day in so it's a general question about pubs rather than specific.

Cheers in advance.

If your in Amsterdam there are plenty of sports bars / Irish pub showing English football. There shouldn't be any problem what so ever finding one. In other cities good sports bars are fewer and further between, and they tend to focus on Dutch football, but I would probably be able to find a pub after some googling if I know where you will be at.

The game will be on Dutch TV, but on the pay channel Eredivise Live, which is not a part of the standard digital-tv package, no matter what provider you have. Eredivise Live usually only shows the Dutch competition, but also have the rights for the FA Cup. I have it at the moment, so if you're in Utrecht, you're welcome to watch it at my place. Just bring some beer!

Cheers mate.

No idea where I am, middle of nowhere probably but hopefully I can kidnap a local with access to the pay channel.

If you´re near the german boarder, the free TV channel Sport1+ will show the game in germany.
Point is, Bundesliga at the same time (Big thing on TV here now), you´ll have to persuade the landlord and garantie him a great income if he´ll show the match for you.......

Yea unfortunately Sport 1 is not for free here in Holland... but the package I have also only shows Premier League and Champions League matches... for FA Cup and Europa League I would have to order their "Eredivisie" package which is actually mainly for the Dutch League... ridiculous I know.

Most Irish Pubs have British TV though via Satellite.
