The stolen FA Cup tickets

Apologies for starting a new thread on this but it's starting to worry me.

I am almost certain my tickets were part of the nicked ones. I haven't heard anything from the club at this stage.

Has anyone else here had their's nicked, and if so have you heard from the club and what solution are they offering?

Thanks.

The Club has now confirmed with the Royal Mail, The FA and Wembley Stadium, the number of tickets stolen and their seat location within Wembley Stadium.
All such tickets have now had their barcode deactivated on the venue’s access control system and anyone in possession of such tickets will be denied access to Wembley Stadium. Supporters should only purchase tickets directly from the Club.
Letters will be despatched today and tomorrow to all supporters directly impacted by the theft documenting the procedure for obtaining replacement ticket(s). Where multiple tickets were bought for supporters living at the same address, only one letter will be sent per household.

hope this helps

http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/20 ... ets-update

Supporters will be aware from a statement issued earlier in the week that Manchester City are working closely with Greater Manchester Police and Royal Mail in connection with the theft of a number of bags of Special Delivery mail items from a Royal Mail van on Friday 1st April 2011.

The Club is receiving a large number of telephone enquiries from supporters who have yet to receive their FA Cup Semi-Final ticket(s) and who are becoming concerned that their ticket may be involved in the theft.

We would like to advise supporters that there is currently a processing delay of approximately three to four working days from the point of purchase until tickets are despatched.

Regarding those tickets that were stolen:

* The Club has now confirmed with the Royal Mail, The FA and Wembley Stadium, the number of tickets stolen and their seat location within Wembley Stadium.
* All such tickets have now had their barcode deactivated on the venue’s access control system and anyone in possession of such tickets will be denied access to Wembley Stadium. Supporters should only purchase tickets directly from the Club.
* Letters will be despatched today and tomorrow to all supporters directly impacted by the theft documenting the procedure for obtaining replacement ticket(s). Where multiple tickets were bought for supporters living at the same address, only one letter will be sent per household.

I reckon mine are in there as well. I booked on Saturday and the girl said they'd be in the post Monday (Special Delivery) and they are still to arrive!

Funny thing is, I didn't even ask my seat numbers as she sounded as if she'd given me the best seats in the house - Doh!

A relative is using mine & booked it last week. No sign of ticket so far. No doubt I'll end up on the phone having to sort it all out & I can't even fucking go. Bastard.

You can check your seat details on the purchase history on the OS.

No sign of our tickets yet either. 9 days since booking them.

Anything starting with a 5 is going to be right up in the gods but you have row 7 which looks pretty good to me so not so high as others.

I've just got a letter from the club confirming that our tickets are amongst the stolen batch.

We've been told we need to pick up our tickets from Wembley either on Friday!? or Saturday before the game. So that means getting there even ealier than planned and no doubt standing in a queue there for ages. Could do without the additional stress on the day to be honest.

City aren't paying back the special delivery postage automatically either. We need to phone and claim it back next week!

My 3tickets have also been stolen.
Got a letter on Saturday from the club saying "under no circumstances will any replacement tickets be despatched through the post. Therefore you must collect your duplicate tickets direct from wembley stadium" these need to be collected from near the Bobby Moore statue preferably by 315pm on Saturday.
Cheers for that, what a laugh that's gonna be for me, the other 800 plus queuing at wembley on semi final day while the place is mobbed.
WTF??
How about therefore you must collect your duplicate tickets from EASTLANDS. ???
Or is that too easy?
And the icing on the cake.....I've got to apply to get my £5.05 special delivery charge refunded. Why isn't this done automatically?

Cheers city.
What was that book called again....Cups for Cock ups?
Some things never change :((
