He's not shit
He came in January and has had to adapt to the PL which so far he hasn't done
He is also getting fuck all service..and I mean fuck all
He will come good..next season I think it will be a different story for Edin
Genuinely believe that..he is a goalscorer

Four season at Wolfsburg, he played only two and a half, he scored 66 goals.
Just a fact

Can only judge him off what we've seen and he's been beyond shit.
I'm sorry but so many people harped on about what a wonderful player he was.
I'll believe it when I see him do something, just something which shows he isn't another Samaras.

I'm sorry but you're talking bollocks..some players just need more time to settle in
To compare him to Samaras is quite frankly laughable

he's got the touch of a fucking rapist and stephen would give him a decent foot race. apart from that, he's brilliant.

I could be wrong on this completely having seen very little of him prior to his time here...he does get service, but the type of service that Tevez thrives on, in to his feet with his back to goal. They must do this in training (maybe Doug can give some input here) but it looks like it is completely opposite to the sort of game he should be playing, and then to make things worse he tries to beat players with his back to goal and ends up being outmuscled.
The times when he is on the shoulder of the last defender looking for the cross, it either falls to Balo or Kolarov, both of whom would much rather shoot.

He doesn't look great, but that's hardly surprising when we all can see what type of service he thrives on, the exact opposite of what we offer.

Watched him at Wolfsburg a fair few times on ESPN and he looked more than the part.
Type of striker who actually requires the good service of others though. He isn't getting that at City.

Unfair to judge him with tonight's game fresh in the memory. How many of us can honestly say we've seen him play regularly for Wolfsburg?
Will only be right to asses after more time, something he probably won't get.

He needs a goal badly..even if it's laid to him on a plate
I think Tevez being out might be a blessing in disguise for him
As good as Carlos is he's a greedy cunt and we need to stop relying on him

I suspect you may be right here. Who started brighter for us, Jo or Dzeko? Because Jo's record in Russia didn't make any difference on how long he was given to settle.

He's a goalscorer alright - but we are going to have to rebuild the team around him to get him scoring goals. I don't think we will do that though meaning we bought a player unsuitable for our team.

Early days and I'm not really expecting much from him this season so not too worried.
But - what the hell is that first touch when the ball is played to his feet?! Fuclin hell, he's competing for the worst 1st touch prize with big Phil at the moment! Hopefully that's just a confidence issue, which I wouldn't be surprised of

I can't do one of those pointy things but that's what I'm pointy thing at.

That's the trouble..we have built the team around Tevez instead..great when he's on fire..but when he's not..or injured as is now the case..we have no other options
We need to start playing as a team and not just a bunch of talented individuals

Agree with many on here... He will come good. Just severely lacking confidence and service... The two main things any striker needs to score goals...

Me for one. I saw him play in the flesh 3 or 4 times, and on the box about 40-50 before he signed for us. He's the real deal.

Had this in another thread but this is more relevant...
Dzeko needs a fast strike partner (who enjoys playing football), a left winger that plays on the LEFT FUCKING WING and a right winger that plays on the RIGHT FUCKING WING and he will score just like he did in Germany and for his country.
Writing him off is fucking laughable when he's been told to play up front on his own and we play a fantastic left winger on the right so that he can't cross a ball in because he's on his bad foot... and we play with no right winger at all.
Its quite simple really - if you play a striker whose main weakness is speed, then you need to compliment him with great delivery in key areas.
Liverpool helped Andy Carrol with crosses today and I have little doubt had the ball gone to Dzeko the same way it did to Carroll, he'd have finished both just as well. The two goals he scored in the cup were quality finishes not unlike Carroll's first and that is because he was given the ball in the box. Also, no Silva means you have a slower forward dropping deep which basically takes him completely out of the game.
Dzeko will only come good when we play to his strengths, but he is a class striker, I have no doubt about that.
