So much doom and gloom on here.
We're 4th in the League, we're in the biggest game we've had for years and years on Saturday and it's against the Rags. It's a unique occasion. Last night was shit yes but FFS people let's get fucking hyping this weekend up and enjoy the few days that lie ahead of us, at least until 8pm-ish on Saturday.
COME THE FUCK ON CITY.

The nerves will build up to being the worst I have ever had as a City fan I suspect, and it will kill me to have to watch it with less knowledgeable rags than usual, but I can't wait.

I wouldn't say I was looking forward to Saturday. I was dreading it before yesterday, but considering our result and the rags stroll in the park tonight, I'm really not looking forward to it. All I see is us choking again and handing them the double in the process.

I'm not hyping up something when I feel incredibly nervous and worried about that something.

Well said pal. I feel recently that some city fans just can't wait to moan and I think it is silly.
Let's crack on and just get behind the team.
I'm so excited about Saturday its gonna be a good day

I've got the argument about going out for the game with the missus out of the way nice and early. This will actually be the first derby I'll watch this season . Bring it on!!!!!!!

I am looking forward to it. I think we'll win.
Am I allowed to say that?

Yes Mr T Blue of Tokyo you are allowed to say that.
For what it's worth, I am too and I have a sneaky suspicion we will. And you know what, if we do, I have no problem whatsoever with Roberto Mancini's fan club coming on here to give me a bit of WAAAAAAAAHHHHH TOLD YOU SO!

yes cant wait, we can beat these we beat em in the 1st leg last year.
weve beaten em with fowler and macken
and beaten em with benjani and vassell at the swamp.
all of those games i didnt expect to win.
we lost to wigan away in the league cup 1-0
on a wednesday, and 3 days later beat them 3-1
in the last maine rd derby.
so we can do it and sometimes it happens when we least expect it.
bring it on.

i cant wait, me and my 9yo son will be setting off early saturday morning, flag over the back window, a scarf flying out of every window, beeping horns all the way down the M1. Cant wait to see wembley, get in the ground, see an incredible City performance, and do it all again a few weeks later.

To be honest, I'd rather that we are going into Saturday on the back of a shit game against the scouse as well as the rags having their tails up because of last night. We'll be the underdogs and that suits me fine.
Bring on the cocky cunts.................

Exactly. Applying City roller-coaster logic to it, we should preform superbly on Saturday after Monday's poor effort.

I don't know why, but I feel more confident about this game after losing to the scouse. Mancini will be wanting to win this as much as any of us do. Also, the fact that the rags are in the semis of the CL and we just lost 3-0 will certainly make us huge underdogs, which is a role that suits us best.
This game will define our season.

I still have a weird feeling that we will play ultra tight defensive game and it will stand 0 - 0 at 90 minutes and Balo will score in the dying seconds of added time!

It's amazing that almost all posts in this thread are pretty positive yet most people are slagging us off in the rest of the board.
I think we're going to win. Although for the last 20 years I normally sulk after we lose for a couple of days, then it stops, and I believe again we're the greatest team in the world for no apparent reason.
We'll go defensive more than likely, but a bit of Balotelli magic can swing it in our favour :-)
