So you think just ordinary main roads will handle that traffic? Its gonna be busy regardless of any main road/motorway closures.

Its just a warning anyway to those who be going down there this evening.

Wasn't having a pop mate, just stating the obvious (plus a bit of Brit bashing of course). It's gonna be busy whichever way we look at it but I do think the M1 will be open well before that time.

Turning off M1 at junction 4 so I should hopefully be ok even if it lasts till tomorrow morning, but cheers for the heads up

Never bother with M1 anyway, shitiest Motorway known to man, garaunteed accident every time i have to go East Midlands or North East.

Whenever i travel back to Manc (or vise versa) M6 via Toll and on to the M40 is a much better route AND it is the most direct route to Wembley i.e. turns in to the A40 and simply turn left at Hanger Lane, left again at Ikea off the North Circular jobs a good-un.

M40 is comfortably a better route anyway. Add an hour to be sure as the traffic will be heavier, obviously.
