We don't know the details but I'm sure he was there for treatment. I'm far more concerned with him getting himself fit asap than being at Wembley.

He's acted like a twat at times and is an easy target but it's bit rough on him to have a pop over this imo.

If he goes he goes...we have proven we can win without him...he's been a brilliant player for us...but we are a team not the Carlos Show

Aguerro would soften the blow ;-)

If he goes he goes but i really really really really hope he doesnt, some people have short memories.

BUT.

We are going to have to find another 22 goals so far this season from somewhere else.

He was in Italy, Milan I believe. With the Argentina club doctor and Walter Samuel getting treatment with our clubs blessing.

Or at least that is the official stance anyways.

there for treatment - much more important that he gets fit and plays for us again this season than he attends a game he can't play in anyway imo

Yes he's not been perfect, given the transfer request, but keeping him would be huge for us. He is genuinely a world class striker and is a big reason why we are pushing for Chumps League and in the Cup Final.

That's what I read too - the cynic in me might speculate a certain Italian club was checking to see if their future investment was at risk after his recent injury.

If we can get 40-50m for him and I believe we should, and if he wants go, sell him and get someone like Alexis Sanchez instead.

I agree there mate. The club are doing everything in their power to get him sorted - Quickly!

I've heard a few saying this and that, the usual tickle-tackle, but none can back it up with any evidence to prove anything other than he is getting treatment. Also, has anyone seen anything in the English media as they're usually the 1st to jump on any rumour regarding our players? Strangely, they are not, which says to me that there's no story at the present time apart from he is getting treatment and that he might have some girlfriend problems.

seriously mate he wouldn't. people have been going on about aguero's potential for years now and it just hasn't been fulfilled. the premier league is not the place for that to happen. watch him when he plays for argentina, out of his depth and slowing the game down. still young of course, but very light.

i wouldn't be too bothered if carlos left because we looked like a real team where everyone was passing the ball and that doesn't happen with tevez. think it's far more important to get us not relying on one player, that said i love the guy and always will. i honestly don't know who i'd like to see in his place. drogba??? that could seriously happen they won't be selling torres in the summer...

agreed. Aguero isn't the answer if we lose Tevez. Dunno if a single player actually would be tbf, which is the biggest issue. Tevez's traits are so uniquely fucked up that you won't find a like for like replacement with him. You'll have to put two names on the team sheet to get what's he brings which therein lies the biggest issue.

To be fair tho, he's had a shit 2011, so maybe he was just on a Benjani-like purple patch. Cough. Cough....cough.

cheers

IF he is going it will have to be for a minimum of £60m, based on Torres being worth £50m alone.

He is one the best strikers in world football AS WELL AS being a workhorse that leads the line like very few out there.

He is almost irreplacable, so I obviously hope he stays here until he retires, although lets face it, there's little chance of that.

I'm with Beeks on this one. Every time I've seen him play for Atletico in la liga he has looked the business

It is particulary disappointing to read that he wasn't at Wembley. Going to italy, could have taken place earlier.

For me , he lost all respect when he put a transfer request in.

Get at much as we can for him.

Lets not let one nice win blind us from the fact that we have been at times this season dependant on him and toothless wothout him.

Fucking champion player and will be sorely missed if he goes.

This.

Of course, we'd rather want him to stay, but if he goes, we should ask for an amount like that, considering the prices paid for Torres and Carroll. Sanchez will not replace Tevez, but he'll be able to deliver balls for Dzeko and Balo, something we've been lacking thus far.
