To all of you who know the Mickey Rourke film, Angel Heart, you'll know who Louis Cyphre was, to those that don't you'll get the gist of what this is about.
So, we've dusted the scum bastards in the semi and we've still got a great chance of maintaining our top 4 position and therefore qualify for the Chumps League. Therefore the question is quite simply....one or t'other, not I'll have both!
Do you want to win the FA Cup Final and end the 35 years of still being here, making those smug rag cuntz take their banner down and having a real paaaaaarty or.....
Lose to Stoke, reverse all of the above but qualify for the Chumps League which will help City with the financial fair play bollox......
Over to you guys, remember it's one or the other and not both!!
If anyone can be arsed to put a poll thingy on then fair do's, I'll start the ball rolling with a huge paaaaarty and a shiny FA pot in the cupboard please

I just want to get that fucking banner down now we have made it to the final - its 90 minutes, we HAVE to win
If we get CL great.....but it won't be any more of a disappointment than last year if we don't (although the owners might disagree)

I`m for the cup 100% but have been reliably informed they`ll change it to how many years ago since we won the title....so we`ll have to put up with it for 2 more seasons either way really.
I want both tho..Sorry Dronny.

That smacks of desperation, and everyone will know it. I won't really care about it, and they'll be more of a laughing stock than us.
Trophy for me. I support City out of a desire to win things, not a will for us to be 'financially viable' enough for a corrupt Frenchman.

That will show them up for the sad, bitter, obsessed morons they are.
100% we NEED to qualify for CL.

FA CUP without a shadow of a doubt
Never really got the idea of the champions league - especially when you don't have to be the Champions to be in it and win it

Never been a question for me. It's the glory we play for. I don't want to get this close and fuck it up now.
Cup every time.

I have to say, I would take the Cup now that we reached the final and beat United on the way through. The trophy will do a lot more for the team than finishing Top 4 I think... winning is like an addiction, once the team get the taste of it they would want more... I would fully expect us to challenge for the title next season if we win the FA Cup.

4th for me. Cup wins are gonna come thick and fast with the sheik in charge, but the fair play ruling is fast approaching. The club itself need to start MAKING money quick time, and the only way to do that is the champs league.

but qualifying for CL brings a lot more than just the extra income to help us satisfy FFP. It legitimizes us as a top European club. It raises our stature worldwide. And, most importantly, it makes us a FAR more attractive club to those worldclass players we need, players who can take us to the next level.
I'll take 4th even if it means we wait another year to rip down the silly banner at the swamp.

Some of you fucking lot just seem to get worse...May I politely suggest that some of you get fucking real...and fucking soon.
Two years ago, our new owners embarked on a project they said would take around 10 years and probably cost £ billions. To take City from midtable obscurity and deliver it at the very top of the football world. That project will have been properly costed and scheduled. Targets will have been carefully planned and set to ensure that progress to the very summit is ensured.
Many hours of work will have gone into the planning and from recent announcements, having already invested approx £1B in the team, club, the stadium and it's surrounds, over the next 15 years or so, another £2B will be invested on facilities to benefit the club and the local community.
That journey to the top has already begun. Much of its immediate progress is dependant on City qualifying for the CL. Not only to increase revenue but also to considerably increase the club's profile in the football industry, allowing us to attract a higher quality of player, and in the football world, to make us more attractive to increase our marketability and fanbase.
Do some of you seriously suggest that given a choice, you would risk delaying and damaging that project in order to see a bit of fucking plastic removed from a railing at the swamp?
SINCE WHEN DID WE ALLOW OUR ARROGANT RAG BASTARD NEIGHBOURS TO DICTATE POLICY AT CITY?
Fuck our future glory, we want a cup now?.....Spoilt, impatient numpties!!!! You sound like children outside a sweetshop.

John, I'm 26. I've never seen us win anything. I could give a fuck about the banner, but finishing th is harldy something you tell the grandkids about is it?
A cup win after beating United on the way would be the best moment of my life.

John, we are in a cup final against Stoke. I became a blue because of our involvement in the 81 cup final. Our win last weekend was one of the highlights of my city viewing life. I expect that if we win the cup I will cry pure tears of joy in relief of all the crap games and players we've had to endure. Yes, we all want 4th. But it won't be anywhere near as exciting as getting the monkey off our back and lifting a trophy.

@ PBL and Dazzler,
Let me make it plain that like you, I am desperate to start winning pots. I don't give two fucks about mopnkeys on backs though. I don't give too fucks about what the arrogant rags have on their banner. Like everyone else, I want both. the glory of an FA Cup win, lifting the trophy and all the kudos and history that goes with it...and I want to qualify for the CL and push onto the very top.
Having made that very plain, I am playing the game set by Dronny and like it or lump it, being forced to choose one.
Under Dronny's game rules, I can't have both. I am certain that we are bound for the summit of World football. I am certain that within a few years, maybe even sooner, we will be lofting pots for fun and that our success will be sustaained for a long time. Like the rags, over the next seasons, I can see us being involved in totle challenges , Domestic and European Finals. Cups galore.
Given the present situation...would any of us truly risk damaging that great future for a glimpse of silverware this season. Sorry mate but if it were to mean foregoing this pot for another dozen in the near future, I'll take the dozen every day of the week.
