Bitters & Banners

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Bitters & Banners

Postby Beeks » Wed Apr 20, 2011 6:38 pm

Was thinking about this on Saturday as I looked around Wembley

The rags had several banners/flags dedicated to taking the piss out of us..34 years..separated by success etc etc

Yet we had none..and I looked hard..that gave them shit

Yet they somehow call us bitter?!

Plus I don't know about you..but I've barely gloated since the win either..I feel I should be ripping into the rags at work but just havnt got the stomach for it despite knowing that if the shoe was on the other foot I'd get it with both barrels

Sort of makes me proud to be a blue

Spooky but I'm the same Beeks. Not brought our win up with any of the devilworshippers that surround me at work. They seem spooked by it and none of em can raise the subject. Not one single conversation about the game whatsoever. One guy who sits behimd me couldn't even raise a "good morning" to me which he has always done. It got so spooky that I had to say to him late Monday "what's the mater mate, has someone cut your throat" and he limply replied "I'm always like this on Mondays". Been funny as fucl. They've sent me texts, rang me on my phone and sent endless e-mails when they've beat us. Absolutely NOTHING after this game. Sums them up perfectly:o)

I was out on the piss on Saturday night celebrating our glorious victory , and to be fair most of the rags I met said we deserved it, apart from one idiot who said we were lucky now I just had to walk away from him shaking my head.

not going to gloat unless we win it.
if we do, i'm unleashing it big style.
all i've managed so far is to give the one rag at work a cheeky wink. he's not happy!
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

They like to claim we are bitter and obsessed with them, but they are far more obsessed with us. I swear, nearly every one of their songs is about us!

I think they were genuinely stunned by the result on Saturday as they believed their experience would see them through. But now they're starting to contemplate the possibility of us actually being the real deal. Obviously we have to win the cup to make it'll all worthwhile, but the first trophy for us will kill them as they love to go on about '35 years blah blah blah'.

Also, if we do win the cup, we'll get another chance to do them again at Wembley in the Charity Shield in August :-)

I don't fucking believe what I am reading...Have you lot taken leave of your senses or joined the WRVS? You soft bunch of tarts, what the fuck have City fans come to?
Let me remingd you, it was those rag bastards that put a banner up to record our failures, it was those bastard rags that keept telling us that we weren't worthy of being their real rivals. It was those bastard rags that at every opportunity ensured that they ripped the arse out of anything blue....
....and your response is..."I gave one a wink"...whoop de fuckin dooo...I bet he crawled under the floorboards at that threatening gesture. If I were a rag at this moment, I would be hiding my arse as far away as possible to avoid you lot...but I'd be hiding for nowt.

Saturday night was as good as having good sex...I picked them up and with the central locking on...gave it to them. Made them feel as shit as they have tried to make me over the years.
On Sunday, I went to see my new grandson and (in front of all the grannies, uncles, Aunties and friends I had not previously met)...I ensured the cockney rag who is our Jodie's boyfriend was embarrassed and loudly told he was a sad rag bastard who, like his sad rag bastard team, couldn't take it. Then i fucked off for a meal to leave him to stew on it.

The rags are down...better to keep them there....the gutter is where those arrogant twats belong...with a blue foot on his head to make sure he never rises again.

Yup, Sunday by the time I was wankered at about 6pm, the 15 different versions of blue moon went on the jukebox consecutively and I fucking gave it each and every one of the red cunts, and even got the Bolton fans to join in with me to ease their pain. The landlady said she put me in a taxi at 10pm absolutely pissed as a wicket but with a bigger smile on my face than she had ever seen.

I like the overall sentiments you espouse John, but the gutter is far too good for them; the sewer is their rightful dwelling place.

If ever I came across a Scummer dying of thirst in the desert, I wouldn't even urinate upon him/her for fear it might help save his/her life. They can all rot in their own arrogance as far as I'm concerned.

I was in Pinner on Saturday night. Saw no rags. Travelling back via Donny on Sunday...No rags. (although gave a Stoke fans loads in a pub there for not being at the game and claiming to be a big Potters fan) Off work on Monday. By Tuesday maybe the edge had worn off a bit.
