That journo got it wrong about the RAG though - Nani didnt build a statue of himself, Al Fayed commissioned it and put it outside Fulham's ground.

Funny how perseptions change.
Not too long ago, Sven would be happy to hand out huge gratuities. Some of my taxi mates used to love him but when Sven did it, it was perceived as generosity. Mario is seen as a buffoon?

They can't even begin to understand or comprehend him, so they just think he's mad. He is, but not as much as people realise. The result is that journalists feel they can interpret anything he does in whatever way takes their fancy. He's been red carded twice this season, first time we appealed we thought the decision was so unjust (and we don't often appeal). 2nd time we didn't bother, people weren't angry at him for the foul being a red card, they were angry because he needed to be careful with his reputation and he hadn't been. We see worse challenges go unpunished (or yellow only) every week or two. It was a soft red card, not in the same league as what Scholes did.

His exasperated manager Roberto Mancini has commented: "Every day I fight against Mario and sometimes I would like to give him a punch." Mario's response? "He couldn't. I do Thai kick-boxing."
