Delighted for the lad..he's just had an interview on 5Live and was buzzing

Said it was a new start to his City career and was thanking the fans for sticking by him

Good lad..let's hope he cracks on from here!

I was just about to start a thread saying exactly the same thing.

I have high hopes for Edin, hopefully this goal will kick start his City career.

Really composed finish, and nice for him to break his duck.

He was there to put it away and it was a good finish, delighted for him. Dread to think how it could have been if he had missed though, we weren't exactly set up to supply him with more chances.

The lad is a scoring machine, he only needs a summer training with the team.

Quality finish from a quality striker. I don't expect him to score in every game he plays from now this season but he will score plenty in his City career of that I have no doubts.

Was delighted for him to score, I hope he gets a game or two in the near future.

Quality always shines through in the end.

Class player not getting enough time on the pitch atm, come next season I'm certain we'll see the best of him!

Well done Edin. Top class finish tonight!

Just a thought,...
Would Dzeko have scored that goal had Tevez been on the field? Or does the presence of Tevez on the field diminish the potential threat of other forwards?

Following the rumours, if he goes, will we miss Tevez as much now as we would have done a few months ago?

Personally I don't think we will.

Tevez is a cracking player but not irreplaceable. Get the service to Edin and we'll get the goals.

It was a bumbling fumbling performance from "body by Dzek" but he got one part bang on. Job done. Thanks very much. Hopefully he'll draw some confidence from that and improve.

That was his bread and butter finish. When chances like that fall to him in the box, he is one of the few players in the world that I want to have on my team.

If we lose that three defensive midfielders system and replace Barry with more attacking player, he will score tons next season.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It was nice to see how you could tell how happy he was. Also happy for NDJ for getting another motm. He finally gets recognised for his work.

What I did find funny though, was how they were trying to make Balotelli an inteference when Dzeko scored, because he was blocking view. What a load of crap.
