Anyway - please can we leave the munich debate for that thread?... Please? I apologised in the thread for getting too personal at the start, and I think I was pretty fair with my reasoning towards the end....

Keep the blog informative (stats, facts, ect) and you'll do ok with it.

A tip though, while having your own views is top stuff, try not to tell (or even move to inform) others that they are wrong just because your stances may differ. Never goes down well, especially round these parts.

The munich thread is a great example. Live and let live as they say.

I'm with you on RSS feeds. No idea what the crap they are for. As for Twitter, I sometimes use it. I mostly look at it to see what other people say.

As for blogs, I like them, though I don't read them much. I usually read what people have to say about certain events, matches, or things that people have been fuming over. Of course, it has to be well written :P.

As for twosips, good luck with your blog. I liked your post (we do agree on the matter), so, once I'll have a gander on your blog, I'm sure I'll at least like your writing. If you need any ideas, its always worth a look on the bigger City blogs, Bitter and Blue, Bluemoon, Lesson in Pride, or some of the other blogs. Good luck!

ah, fair point avalon. i guess i do read blogs about certain things that i don't know much about. been reading a few about MLS and hoping to go over to a game in the next 12 months or so, so i guess they do have their uses!

I always though blogs were huge downgrade from message boards. Basically you air your own views over whatever subject without letting people challenge them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has absolutely no idea what RSS feed is and what you are supposed to do with it. And by no idea I mean I haven't got a slightest clue what it is.

All I know about RSS is how the logo looks like, but let's not hijack this thread into making it obvious how little we know about RSS and feeding it, or it feeding us, or feeds.. whatever.

I use google reader, so in that respect it is kind of like having another email tab open. I can also use the google reader app on my phone as well to view the same feeds. Basically it ties in all the blogs, band websites etc that provide updates, without having to visit each individual site. It's pretty good for when bands announce tours etc.
