If Tevez Plays in the F.A. Cup

Postby trueblue64 » Thu May 05, 2011 12:27 pm

This ladies and gents will be his last game for City, I was told today by someone I trust and know well that the time Tevez spent in Milan for his "Hammy" was in fact to cross the t's and dot the i's on his personal terms at Inter. The person who told me is 100% behind this as true. There as been no fee Agreed as yet.

Much as I dont doubt this, its hardly rocket science is it? Most City fans deduced back in December that he was offski, given the sudden "withdrawal" of a transfer request.

It was no doubt agreed by khaldoon that we would let him walk in the summer so that he would shut his trap now. All that remains is to hammer out a good deal for the club.

The real question, given Tevez's clear wish to go, is whether we actually play him at Wembley - my guess is Mancini makes a point and sits him on the bench. It would be a travesty if Kompany wasn't leading us out at Wembley, regardless of whether Tevez starts the Final or not.

This was my sentiment too, I would not play him again and make Vinnie Club captain.

Hang on a sec.

He has agreed personal terms in detail but no fee has been agreed yet?

You may be right but why would they go through the whole process of agreeing the details on personal terms without agreeing a fee? I know that in most cases the proper procedures are not followed and that the deal is "stitched up" before the legals are done but in this case it seems a little perverse to be "dotting is and crossing ts" before the transfer is even discussed between the clubs!

I could understand that an "agreement in principal" might be reached between player and club but what exactly would be the point of going any further than that.

What if Inter don't have £50m or want to spend it on one player?

mancini has already said if he doesn't play at tottenham he isn't playing at Wembley

if it is true about him leaving, ahh well, life goes on

imo 3 of the most important players at the club have highlighted their desire to be here for the rest of their careers in Joe Hart, Kompany and De Jong

Stick him on the bench for the rest of the season. I like the balance of the side since he's gone. Players are working harder and Balo is getting his chance. Bring Tevez on after 70 to run at tired defences.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Vinney will be captain next year anyway and for many many more years after that.
if Carlos is fit to play he should,he can HOPEFULLY PLLEASSEEEE lift the cup then leave if that is his desire and only in the BEST deal for the club and without some sack of shit coming the other way. Then we look for another 25 goal a season man.

Shudder.

Exactly my thoughts. Whilst I don't deny there's a chance Tevez is off this summer. He can't sign anything whilst a City player.

We shouldn't sell for any less than £50m. If it is for less than that, I'm expecting Sneijder chucked in too and still a hefty fee of £30m+.

Well said Wooders, im so over the whole Tevez is leaving shit, if he goes he goes. We will buy someone else and we still have Balo and Dzeko to bang in the goals.

or we find a midfielder like Sneijder -- who will score some and provide some assists -- and a winger who can put a fuclin ball in for Balo and Dzeko and we can get to 25 pretty quickly imho.

cheers

Makes me sick to be honest. Why on earth would he want to leave now? You say hes agreed terms with inter and ok whatever but I dont know.. he just seems to want to be anywhere other than City and I don't get why. Something stinks and its probably him.
I think he should be on the bench for Tottenham and then see where his heads at. Probably bench him for the final too and only bring him on if things arnt going to plan. Vinnie for captain though definately, an example of a player!

Have heard of players agreeing personal terms before clubs agree before. Still does not mean he is 100% gone as the clubs might not reach an agreement. However if he wants to leave I think we should let him. However I do not want cash for him, I want another top, top player plus cash.

If the ghost of Torres' past is worth 50m what is a player who has scored more goals the last two seasons on average than Torres ever did when he was on form?

We should ask a top player plus 30m easy... I've always liked Sneijder (and his fellow dutch ex-RM'ers) and would love him to pair up with Silva. He is a classic Mancini player since he can play both behind the striker, central midfield and on the wings. I'd love for us to take Sneijder and one young talent, believe Inter have one great talent both at RB and midfield.

Cant see Milan forking out £50m, so it might have to be swap deal. Then again, he has been leaving since about two months after he joined, so I will believe it when I see it.

I love these "my friend told me" stories. So? He might have told you. And? Does he know Tevez? His agent? To me, this means diddly squad. If he leaves, he leaves, however, Man City has the contract and he can throw his dummy out of his pram if he wants to, but that is how it is. If he wants to leave, it'll be sad, but he can, however, we shouldn't be held for ransom. Either a fair price/swap, or no. If he wants to stay, I'll gladly have him stay.

Nothing would make me happier than to hear Tevez has just extended his contract for another 5 years. One of the top 3 strikers on the planet.

If he leaves, it will be a sad day, but life goes on.

Also, if he leaves for Inter he will have to take a massive pay cut IF they can afford the 60m he is worth.

This is lacking in sense. Anyway, I pray to God he can lead the line in Wembley.

WHAT A FUCKING PLAYER.

We are doing pretty well without him are we not?

We all knew he was in Italy to sort out his fucking transfer..IMO hes a great footballer but a thick cunt of a man and I will not shed one tear when he goes.

I do NOT want him to play in the Final fit or not, unless we are 1 nil down with 30 mins to play......then Id use the cunt.

You have to put pride to one side and ask yourself if you think Manchester City stand a better chance of winning this cup with one of the best strikers in world football or Balotelli leading the line.

IF he goes, he goes... but while he's here, he's the most dangerous weapon we have.
