next years champions league

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

next years champions league

Apologies if this has already been covered
There are also several ifs involved
If we finish 4th
If u****d beat Barecelona
Does that mean only 3 Champions League places
Or am I talking shite

No, only if the team that won it hadn't already qualified. If Spuds had won it for example, and finished 5th, only the top 3 would get in.

Thanks for that clarification
It would seem, as usual, I was in fact talking shite

I feel safe the thread has been answered, so time for a highjack.

IF City beat Everton this weekend and Tottenham fail to beat Blackpool it would mean the race for 4th is essentially over. (Over if they lost, down to GD if they draw) Now do we play a weakened team against Spurs on Tuesday in anticipation of the Cup Final against Stoke the following weekend?

It would be the bogs bollox to beat the cunts with a weakened team. Thirty years and one day since the cup final in 1981.

Yes, for the comedy value seems a good enough reason to me.

IF we landed in such a comfortable position then I would certainly hope that Mancini would leave out Silva and De Jong (who may not be fit anyway) as those two are vital for us at Wembley. Give Shay a game maybe too

Though he may feel the best plan would be to keep a winning team and morale high

I cannot see Spurs lose or only draw against Blackpool and us win against Everton at the same time... that would just be.... too fucking awesome!

Yes, I would even go as expecting Manchini to scout out the facilities in London and Wembley on that day too and see Twtichies face when he realises we just cant be arsed playing his shite team as we have bigger fish to fry.

Of course a cheque would need to wing its way to the PL, but we can leave that to Plunty.

Absolutely not, in that scenario we'd be 2 points off 3rd, or maybe even able to make it to 3rd if Stoke do us a favour against Arsenal.
