As part of the Club’s continued investment in developing and improving its operational systems and services, changes will be made to the telephone numbers used by supporters and customers to contact the Club.

The changes will see the current Premium rate 0870 numbers replaced by local 0161 numbers reducing costs to supporters (subject to specific network charges).

In addition, there will be a more simplified options menu ensuring supporters can be connected to the right department in the shortest possible time and a more efficient queuing system with regular updates giving callers the option to remain in the queue or call back later. The changes will also benefit our overseas supporters as many are currently unable to dial the 0870 numbers from abroad.

With effect from Monday 9th May, the 0870 062 1894 number used to purchase match tickets and hospitality, contact supporter services, book stadium tours and order merchandise from our Retail stores will be replaced by a new local number, 0161 444 1894. The 0870 062 4141 number previously used to contact the Conference & Events team will change to 0161 444 4141.

In addition to the main phone number changes, the options under each number have also changed. In order for us to service your request in the most effective and timely manner, we kindly request that you listen carefully to each of the options to ensure you are connected to the right department.

A good move, but all too convenient that it's been done after the ticket furore from which they must have earned thousands.

Reading between the lines, is this just a bit of good PR to butter us up for a ST price increase! the other day they announced on the website that over 65 season tickets would have a price freeze but nothing about the rest..... possibly suggesting a price increase elsewhere. Personally doesnt bother me, just as long as its not taking the piss!
