a draw against spurs

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

a draw against spurs

Postby ENIAM NAM » Sat May 07, 2011 6:30 pm

God only knows how negatively we will set up now we know a draw will be good enough!

I hope we attack, they are so vulnerable at the back!

I'd be happy with a draw. We need to keep something in reserve for the final.

Another way to look at it.. we need one league win from our final 3 games.

Let's not forget it's in Stoke's interest for us to qualify for champs *IF* we beat them in the final.

Gonna say, that far fetched conspiracy where somehow they'll throw it for us, instead of just winning the cup themselves.

Make no mistake, if Bob will play for a draw we will have problems with them. I want the lads to play with the memory of what happend last year, and how we lost the Ucl place with Spuds.

Let's just get the 3 points, put spuds and scousers out of it. Celebrate like spuds did last season sending us to the cup final in good spirits.

If Carlsberg did Tuesday nights............
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

am i right, if we draw with spurs, and liverpool win, then we will be 5 points in front of liverpool, so will need at least a point from our last 2 games, and liverpool are closing on goal diff as well

Atmosphere will/should be amazing on Tuesday night. Lets go for a win, but even if we just draw. A point in the league against Stoke and neither Liverpool or Spurs can catch us.

This is the way to do it. We have two games & if we win both, we're in fucking dreamland. Spurs have to win, so it's not as if we have to make all the running & go crazy; just play to win & I can't see how the fuck their defence can possibly cope with us. Play to draw & they will score with a header.

Liverpool can get to 64 points, we're currently on 62 so any win from our last 3 games puts them out of it.

If I remember correctly we were a point ahead of Spurs before we met them last season at home and then they beat us and went ahead of us.

Granted, this season they will still be 3 points behind us even if they beat us but still... all this "all we need is a draw" reminds me of last season.

If you play for a draw, odds on you're gonna lose.
(especially if you're Man City!)

We should go all out to win
especially with the form Gomes is in, at present!
