Wolves doing it now - we need to get a new one immediately.

At first it annoyed me seeing other fans doing it, but don't they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?

yeah, but we invented it, and when the likes of wolves start doing it, it's time to stop.

bit like when bradford et al adopted "city til i die" a few years ago - we stopped within 2 months or summat.

We invented the City Poznan, no-one can take that away from us.

It's a fun celebration - I'm not remotely arsed about other teams having ago. Plus, as we've already discussed elsehere, both Rangers and Celtic have been doing a version of the same thing for years, 'the bouncy' or whatever.

If the Mexicans had been this peevish with the Mexican Wave it would've looked well shit.

We do it best. We give full credit to the Poznan fans by calling it 'The Poznan' but in this country The Poznan is ours.

If any other set of fans decides to copy it, then it's just like a shit cover version of our song.

As long as the scum/everton/spuds stay well enough away from it i dont mind.

I wouldnt mind seeing the full bottom tier at CoMS including the away fans doing it at the same time. Would look awesome.

You get my point. These things are designed to catch on. I've seen comments on youtube where the Poles are buzzing that we've adopted the Poznan. Don't see why we should get proprietary over it.

Exactly it's called the Poznan for a reason, we copied it, not invented it. It's a corking bit of fun mind and it'll be no surprised that other copy it ... now inflatables is something we did start ....

The crowds at American Football matches were doing the Wave years before the World Cup in Mexico when it became famous and known as the Mexican Wave.

I distinctly remember saying to Gillie in the Townley after the West Brom game , that this will catch on around the grounds.

In America, it's called "The Wave," it also started a long time before the mexican world cup ... it was even broadcast to the world during the 1984 Rose Bowl . It started before that however, a long time before that. It is mostly done at baseball games nowadays, it's not really done in American football anymore.

Who the fuck cares if other fans do the poznan? Getting upset about something like that makes city fans look like total twats ... AND IT'S A CELEBRATION THAT WE COPIED IN THE FIRST PLACE. completely ridiculous.

no we didn't - we invented it. we first did it at torquay in 1978 but it never really caught on and we didn't have a good name for it. we gave it the name poznan coz we saw they'd copied it.

also - "broadcast to the world during the 1984 Rose Bowl" - you might broadcast your silly "rugby-with-scaffolding-played-to-a-cricket-tempo" to the world, but no-one else is actually watching it, so i missed that.
