The Poetry of Football

Did anyone think about it? Last season a Crouch goal in the deciding match against Spurs gave them CL football at our expense, this year a Crouch own goal seals our qualification to the qualifying rounds, keeping them out of it. It's karma at its best isn't it? :D

At one point I was watching the game thinking, "I hope we score another to seal this game, but it wouldn't be so bad if it ended 1-0 with Crouch's own goal giving us the win" and I would have loved for Carlos to score on his return at the end, but all in all I think this final result is, in a way, more fitting.

Yes.

I would have enjoyed it if Vieira's chance at the end had gone in but I won't complain.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

If we win our last two league games there is the possibility of further 'poetry' if Fulham (Hughes) beat Arsenal on the final day :-)
