I think the red-top papers (and moronic fans of other clubs) over-estimate the impact of the Platini rules and under-estimate how much increasing our revenue is part of the picture. 40% last year was a good start, and I'm sure it will be a lot more when the new results are announced, what with a cup final, increased Europa games, 150 matches on TV (it seems) and a few more Cookie sponsorship deals.
Then put the CL income on top of that, and our increase should be massive. Doesn't matter one jot what we've spent to get to that level, what matters is the revenue at that level once you get there.
