Your stories please.

I stayed home in a salute to the number of times I've watched us by myself.

I played squash in the morning then spent 30-40 minutes on the speedball and battering fuck out of a punchbag to try to work out the nervous energy.

Had a nice lunch with the missus and then went to the British Club where I claimed my match seat and refused to talk to anyone who I thought might either root for Stoke to piss me off or generally be a wind-up merchant.

Sank about 12 or so Heinekens (so I am told), went mental when we scored then sat down and it all started to sink in that we were going to win and it all got a bit much. Final whistle I just grabbed my bird and buried my head and had a bit of a blub. Had another beer, went home and went spastic jumping around like a kid, punched the wall a few times...think I nutted it too....dunno why.

Sat there reading every report I could.....had a call from Doomeh, had a good old yarn with him.....ate some nice dinner, off to bed. Woke at 2am and spent an hour or so reading more City stories, couldn't sleep just buzzing.

Up at 6am and into the office for 730ish.....it feels fucking magnificent still. I am so so so so happy. I have dreamed of this all my bloody life

kicked the family out at 2pm and watched the game on my own, with curtains drawn, door locked and phone off.

was convinced we would lose until we scored and was sick twice.

after the game, went to the 1940s weekend in haworth but couldn't drink so went home and watched eurovision.

i'm still in shock - i really am. for years (decades) i'd begun to believe that it would never happen, and there's still a part of me that thinks we must have played an ineligible player or something.

A long, long day.

Veterans football friendly kicked off at 10:30am vs a touring team from Kent, then all to the pub to watch Blackpool's superb game against Bolton, then the big one. Much ale consumed, Lancaster Bomber being the elected tipple of the day.

Emotionally drained by 7pm, sat in for the evening drinking cups of tea ffs.

Went with Ickle Rural to Huddersfield to hook up with the man who introduced me to CITY many many years ago!. His Niece and he chappie were there. Watched the first half in pretty much silence as the nerves were riding high, but sung our hearts out in the second, did a mini Poznan in her living room and cried like a baby :-)

HAPPY DAYS!!!
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

So far i've watched the games alone, no one in the house, just me screaming, cursing and going from agony to happiness, but yesterday i''ve seen it with my fiancee. Of course, 70 minutes i thought she was bad luck, thinking how the hell can i get her out of the room. But then we scored, and i remember she was in the room, but sleeping, in the Carling Cup semi-final, first leg, last year so it turn out to be good.
After that i went in a local pub chatting with an irish friend that hopes someday Bohemians win de Uefa Champions League.

A Fantastic day, still buzzing now.

Watched the match with two old buddies I used to go to the game with 20 years ago and don't see so much of these days. Couldn't stop eating before and during the match, a total lack of appetite after the whistle though. Plenty of beers from early dinner to late night. Plenty of glowing smiles, plenty of nostalgia ("you remember that game when.....")

Feeling a bit delicate now but very satisfied with life.

We all went around to my mates where he'd layed on a bit of food (couldn't do BBQ due to the shit weather) and plenty of beers. There were 6 of us who usually go to the match together and 3 who came along for the ride. We started by watching the Rags game, hoping for a BB win and then onto the game. It was a very tense affair and can say I actually bit off every nail, that was before the goal came and everyone in the room when into rapturous celebrations and people jumping on me from every angle (I carried them all though, like always ;-)). Then came the Poznan, why, I don't know, it just felt right and the neighbours must've been thnking there was some crazy shit going on.

The game continued with us singing every City song going until the final whistle where it all went off again; screaming, singing, hugs, kisses, tears, high-fives and one almighty fuck-off Poznan again. Such a great day and spent with great company. This is what City is all about.

Set off from Town at 6:50am on a Minibus with 14 others.

First Can at 9:30am.

Plenty of stops on the way down for the usual reason.

Parked up in the Yodel Depot at the bottom of Wembley Way, more beers and food.

Got into the ground about 2.00pm,another beer.

In my seat for 2.40,Abide with Me,then watched the match, was a nervous wreck throughout, went mad when we scored and really suffered for those last 15 mins.

Blabbed at the final whistle then met up with rest of the guys outside Wembley ,Hugs all round.

Back to the MiniBus for beers and food , set off back at 7.00pm , plenty of stops for beer and the other.

Got back in town about 1.00am and home by 1.30am.

The wife said i sept like a baby with not the usual snooring!, woke up at 9.00am and several trips to the loo!

Feeling a bit better now i have had some food.

Can,t wait to do it all again!!

Picked mate up from Bidford at 1pm, near Stratford-Upon-Avon, he was already half pissed. We both have SCs, but not enough points...

Drove back to Coventry with him and the missus, picked up my 2 nephews, both covert blues (their dad is coventry). Daughter came back from her Saturday job at 2pm. Stood in the kitchen swigging San Miguel and lightly shitting ourselves.

2.55, turn on the telly. Watch nervously for the 1st half, pool of shit gathering at our feet. Lots of booze.

Started to thinkthat despite overwhelming dominance, it was one of those bastard games when the shit team nick it.

When he scored, we went absolutely fucking apeshit, and I mean off-the-scale daft.

15 minutes of appalling tension, they we all ran out into the street screaming like baboons. Totally crazy and fucking brilliant fun.

Danced to every Madchester tune for about 3 hours, curry at a local Indian, bed by 11, totally leathered and elated.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

Watched it at the in laws in Sheffield, they're all Wednesdayites so we've often swapped relegation stories! Had a cracking day filled with beer and food. Then went into Sheff city centre in the evening, it was a bit weird as most of the locals either support Wednesday or (sheffield) united so there wasn't much mention of it. Had a few congratulations from the missus' mates though.

Really looking forward to the day of the parade, it's my last exam so will be leathered come the time I see the trophy!

Drove to Dundrum with my lovely lady Aine and parked the car, got the Luas (Irish tram type thingy, here 5 years, my first time on it!) into Dublin city centre and sitting on the Luas was two City fans in full gear.

Got chatting to them, two sound lads (of course) - Ciaran and Ian. They were heading to a different pub until I told them I believed Sinnotts was the place to be, so we all headed there together, where there was already about 30 city fans in the pub, along with my mate Paul (justlurkin). 2 large screens showed the end of the rags game... plenty of rags singing their usual "championes" bollox at the end, but they only got about 5 mins because one of the city lads went up to the bar and said to the bar man "Mate, I'm not sure if you're aware, but its FA Cup Final Day and the coverage has alread started. That's why there's loads of us kitted out and that's why there's a huge City flag on your wall there. Now can you change the channel please before we change pubs?"
The channel was changed immediately and there was quite a lot of unhappy rags, most of who up and left... so on with the match.

A lot of nervous tension of course and when the goal went in everyone lost their mind. It was absolutely crazy and such a rare treat, jumping around the place with loads of blues in Dublin! The whole pub was singing the Yaya song to the tune of Hey Jude until the final whistle when the place erupted even more and one of the lads just turned to me and said "what are we supposed to do now?" which summed it up for me. Lots of hugs and loads of kissing with mrs all mixed with a fair bit of shock and an immediate text to a Liverpool fan who made it his job to text me weekly saying 35 years since you won a trophy... my text said " 35 seconds since we won a trophy".

City chants for the guts of an hour after that until the manager came over and said to keep it down, to which we all told him to FUCK OFF. He told me he found it funny that we'd waited 35 years to win a trophy and then declared himself a Liverpool fan. I told him I found it funny that its been 6 years and you've won fuck all to which he had no reply.
Because of that, we all just finished our drinks and left for Bruxelles off Grafton St. where it was just loads of drunken silliness and thankfully no trouble at all. Oh and Aine got a brilliant hat from one of the city lads with a little blue teddy stitched to the top of it.

I've loads of pics so when I fugure out how to use this new phone, I'll get them up.

Great day!

16.04.2011
- Watching the semi final alone at home. Sober, but going crazy. Booking a flight for London straight after the final whistle.

13.05.2011
- Given up hope of getting a ticket, but am looking forward to partying with other blues in London.
- 10.30pm. Getting back from a birthday party and see that I have a PM from Spiv. He might have a ticket for me. Too excited to sleep.

14.05.2011
- 5am. Getting up. Bundle of nerves. Heading for the airport.
- 10.30am. On the train from Stansted. Text message from Spiv - there's a ticket with my name on it. Go mental and call my missus almost crying. Other train passengers look funny at me.
- Head straight to the Working Man's Club in Willesden. Ticket in my hand. Can't belive it, my hands are shaking.
- Getting slightly pissed and chat with Bear and his kids, with Spiv, Moonchesteri, psut, Miss ManCity, et.al.
- Wembley. Indescribable. Stopping every five yards to look up at the arch when walking back to the tube. Still can't believe I'm there.
- Back to Willesden. Have a few more drinks with Bear and company. Gets a tin of cider from a local alcoholic who had the hots for Bear's daughter.
- Meeting up with Patrick by Wembley and take the tube to Victoria.
- Coppers confiscating my cider. Taking a photo of a bobby wearing Patrick's Balotelli hat.
- Drinking in some pub with Patrick and a bunch of Sussex and Channel Island blues.
- 11pm. Totally shit faced. Take tube to King's Cross and stumble around for half an hour trying to find my hostel. Decide to take a cab, but get told that it's only 100 yards away.
- Sleep.

All in all, one of my best days ever. I fucking hate myself for forgetting my camera, but I have so many pictures etched in my mind that I know I never will forget. Still can't believe I was there ...
