Overshadowing the Rags?

Is it me or do we seem to have took the gloss off the Rags winning the title?
There was all this talk about their 19th taking the gloss of our FA Cup win prior to the game, yet I've heard more about us, seen more about us, and witnessed more Bitter Rag City bashing on various radio stations than I'd care to mention.
It seems like their 19th has been put aside a little and we're taking all the headlines, or are my Blue Tinited gig's deceiving me again?

Well.....shame on the FA for creating this mess in the first place. Funny how they allowed american football at wembley on the previous problem turf before the england v Croatia game when the pitch looked like sheep had been grazing on it!...I know UEFA have rules in place regarding the time span of games played on a champs league final ground, but would it have hurt to have played the prem games on sunday? Fa cup final day is a special day, and should be treated as such, whoevers in the final.

You might be right beefy.
there are a whole number of ways of looking at the situation..
our win takes the gloss clean off the rags dismal campaign
the rags winning takes the limelight from City
Manchester winning everything puts London in the shade
For me nothing will take the shine off the first major trophy in 35 years.. it is damage and stain resistant!
( i would use a rag to polish it though)

I am glad you started this thread because I was thinking the exact same thing this morning I even mentioned it to my other half. I fully expected them to get all the glory for their achievment , but it seems the opposite has happened , and rightly so IMO.

The big difference is that there was a trophy in it for us (immediately).

Anybody heard the sad Rags on the radio complaining that Mario should be banned for the swearing? Why don't they just enjoy their day instead of choosing to sound Bitter and Twisted with what we have achieved?
Seems like they are more obsessed with our win than their own achievements, and their actually detracting from their own publicity. Fool's!

My own son forced himself to phone me after the game and offer up some sort of a "well done" through extremely gritted teeth. He immediately followed it with "If Rooney was banned Richards and Bal ............." type bollox.
I hate the rag fuckers, even the fruit of my loins does my fucking head in.

I'd agree with that Beefy.
The usual sky wankfest aside, the general congratulations are mainly coming our way. Is United winning another title amazing news? Hardly.
Is City winning our first trophy for 35 years amazing news? It sure is.

I have heard a LOT today of Manchester winning, a City united and all that.
I suppose if you ignore the venomous rivalry it was a great day for the city.

Headline in The Sunday Times was 'A City United in joy'. Kind of makes me feel dirty being mentioned with them. Then again, kind of makes sense with what was a day of 2 big wins. That said, I shared no joy with them yesterday and never do. I was and still am floating on air and it's all to do with City. Fuck that other lot.

Quite right too. Some things are sacred, the rot started when some team I don't want to mention were excused playing in the cup because they were too busy. And it's obviously no big deal to shift matches around to suit Murdoch's whims, so it would have been no problem to move the league matches to Sunday, but it's obviously not important enough to whoever runs these things.
No way we can ruin football, the governing bodies have done that single handedly.
