Bernard Halford Getting A Medal

I thought it was a really nice touch from the FA to give Bernard a medal after the FA Cup final.

As somebody who has served the club for over 40 years and is one of the nicest and proudest Blues you could ever meet it was thoroughly deserved.

Also great to see Kaldoon give him a big hug, he obviously knows all about 'Mr Manchester City'.

Very classy. It's what David Bernstein brings to all that he does. We met him once and he is pure class and a genuine bloke. So good to have a solid blue in that position.

Thought it was great that! It so happened that Bernard's neice was sat in front of us too, and she was made up for him!

I didn't realise who it was at first - thought Lombardo had let himself go

I've two quick stories to share -

Bernard Halford - It was 1995 and 10 year old me was making my first trip to see city with the family. Only my dad and myself had match tickets for City v Leeds at Maine Road. We were at the club shop the day before the game and I was lucky enough to meet the players coming back from training and walk on the pitch. Anyway, as we were hanging about a gentleman approached us and asked were we going to the game. We said that just two of us were. The guy said that that wasn't very good and disappeared for a few minutes, coming back with four tickets together on the halfway line. He introduced himself as Bernard Halford and I'll never forget that generosity. Delighted he got a medal.

David Bernstein - In 1999 I took a trip to Manchester and headed out to Maine Road as usual. Went in to reception to see if there were any tours going on but unfortunately nothing was happening. Bit disappointing and obviously we were overheard by a guy in a suit standing close by. He came over and asked if we fancied joining him on a quick look around. We did and got to see the trophy room and I had my picture taken with the Division 2 Playoff trophy. On the way back he stopped at his office and the name on the door said David Bernstein. I was in such shock at having seen the trophies etc that it was only afterwards I realised who it was! Couldn't believe it.

Two absolute gentlemen and a credit to the club.
