Haven't had a dream in a long time....

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Haven't had a dream in a long time....

Postby Goataldo » Mon May 16, 2011 6:35 pm

'Please, please, please, let me get what I want' (a classic Smiths song for those of you who are subnormal) came on the radio today.

Been thinking of little other than Saturday's events since the game, and for some as yet unresearched reason, salt water ended up streaming out of my eyes and down my cheeks. Good job I'm a double-hard bastard like.

Good times for a change
See, the luck I've had can make a good man
Turn bad

So please please please
Let me, let me, let me
Let me get what I want
This time

Haven't had a dream in a long time
See, the life I've had
Can make a good man bad

So for once in my life
Let me get what I want
Lord knows, it would be the first time
Lord knows, it would be the first time

I have cried a lot since Saturday, had a real good cry watching the match back. The look on Nigel's face in one if the slow mo shots at the end really sent me over the edge. Does anyone else get like this over City??

Mike I was a complete wreck, my mates didn't know what to do with me as I'm normally quite cool and none emotional. I didn't even celebrate the goal I just burst into tears and got grabbed and jumped on while i just stood there bibbing.

God knows what all the other fans thought stood near by. I'm hoping that they thought I was plastered.

I welled up when Yaya let fly, then bawled like a baby when the final whistle went. Incidentally I've been trying to think of someone who hits the ball as hard as Yaya does, but I can't come up with any names. He gets his full weight behind it while fully off the ground, I could watch him kicking the ball in slow mo all day it's a truly beautiful thing.
