Songs for Stoke

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Songs for Stoke

Postby sandman » Tue May 17, 2011 1:03 pm

I hope we wont be singing about the weekend, It think its right that we celebrate it but in the right way and not at the expense of Stoke. Especially since Stoke took the defeat well and reacted in the right ways.

To take the piss out of a smaller club because of our success would just make us almost as arrogant as the Munichs.

While I agree with this in principle, I'll be in Block 111 tonight and I know the Stoke fans will be giving us some shit and if that happens they get what they deserve. I'm quite happy to take the FA Cup win gracefully and focus on backing our boys to go and get third, but if I start hearing that nonsense about being the shit of Manchester and whatnot I'll have no qualms ramming the FA Cup up each and every one of their arses.

What worries me are the teenage dicks in 116 (the buy your club and burn it down brigade)

They dont seem to have the intelligence to distingish between humorous banter and arrogant bullshit!

I certainly hope they give Huth and Pennant some stick if they're there - Huth for assaulting Mario and Pennant for attempting to injure Silva (and almost breaking his own ankle at the same time)

Stoke fans are loud and fun, there not a bunch of mard arses that will sit and cry from a bit of banter.

Respect is one thing but not having a bit of back and forth with them is just shit.

Fair do's, have the banter but not about the FA Cup, that will make us look like right arrogant cunts. Fans who do that belong in Salford or London not Manchester. We should be better than that, there are fans like you at every club that will spout all the shit and make us look bad but I'd like to see us all being better than that on this occasion.

FFS what?

Just because they were well behaved in the FA Cup final we have to treat them with respect from now on so we don't 'Hurt Their Feelings'?!

Give it a fucking rest..just to jog your memory in the build up to this final they were to a man giving it on their forums to the point of cockiness that they were going to do us

As I dont read there forums ? I met decent fans who hate the rags and hung about unlike the rags and many others who lose at Wembley showing respect to us, do as you wish, however for me this a new City not a Chelsea or worse scum.

This post makes no sense in relation to the thread. The gist I'm getting is that you think anyone who doesnt want to be an arrogant cunt must be a Munich? We should be gracious in victory, not become the thing we hate the most.

Fans like me?

Passionate?

I get what you mean about the teenage dickeads. There is one for example who sits behind me in 110 seat 225 row k (anybody know him) he is a massive fucking tit. He always talks to woever he is sat next to pointing out a fan in the away end and saying shit like "if i see him out in town waaaatch what i do to him" "see that dickhead there, gonna bang him me" he is a complete pleb.

Then there are lads who sit next to me who sing, every song PC or not. They add to the atmosphere. They are a credit to city. They aren't out to hurt anyone and that's the majority of the singers. The dickheads are the minority.

Football is slowly being sanitised..first the terraces go..then price hikes..now you're talking about no offensive chanting?!

Are you lot for fucking real?

The working man is being pushed out by tree hugging 'do rights' like you..fierce rivalry is what makes football..with any team..not just yoonited..and you used the term Munich not me

had thought about this before Satyrday, but would be sweeter now - the losing team should form a guard of honour for the winners of the cup, even if that had meant us doing at home to Stoke. No harm in showing the occasional bit of respect and class.
And a bit of banter tonight, but please, not the gramatically and factually incorrect 'you've never won fuck all'.

having spent many years in australia its far, far better to be gracious winners than "rub peoples nose in it" believe me - stoke weren't the real enemy in the cup anyway - we had our cup final against utd remember?

It's knobs like you who have stopped me having a pint in view of the pitch, give your head a shake and look up the word dignity. I would also try enjoying the match you sound like the sort of dick that spends the entire game watching the away support.
