who do you think it was???

worth the same as Messi....what a clown!

Udinese have turned down a 35million euro offer from an unnamed club for Chile winger Alexis Sanchez, the Serie A club have confirmed.

The Friuli outfit qualified for the Champions League preliminary stages after finishing fourth in the Italian league following Sunday's goalless draw against AC Milan.

Sanchez has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, with several clubs, including both Manchester City and Manchester United, reportedly keen to acquire the 22-year-old's services this summer.

"For me Sanchez is worth the same as (Lionel) Messi," Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo said.

"It's difficult to find other players of his level.

"Only two or three players are born like him in a given generation. We have an offer of 35million euros which we have turned down. I do not want to name the club, out of respect.

"Sanchez is young and we would like him to stay for another year. Besides, we believe he is worth much more."

Sanchez, who scored 12 goals in 31 league appearances for Udinese this season, is under contract with the Friuli side until June 2014.

Sanchez has been bloody impressive this season BUT he has only broken through top this season and I'd be vary of spending ridiculous money on promising but not yet quite tested player.

Comparing him to Messi is retarded. Once he bags 30 goals in a season you can talk about Messi. Until then..... we'll see.

No way is that bloke worth 35 mil Euro to us. If they've genuinely turned that down, then move on.

Watched him last night, had a quite game. Saying that, I think that game was a 'Serie A Special' draw.

He's looked good in most of the games I've watched

Can't see their champs league qualifying having a major say on whether they let him go as they will face a tough qualifier. Nor can I see them turning down a bid of £35Mil Euros unless they think they can get more, it is massive money for a club like Udinese.

Worth the same as Messi? Now, I am one of the few on this forum here raving about him being an excellent player, but worth the same as Messi? That's an idiotic statement to make. What a clown.

It has to be us

Thing is we can now play hardball with these clowns

We are no longer the cash cow we were

If we have bid..and it has been rejected I'd tell them to go fuck themselves

Who else is going to pay that sort of money for him?

I watched parts of the game as well (my lad had stumach aches) and that's exactly what I was thinking. They all seemed WAY too comfortable.

I didn't think respect came into it in Italian football? There's always a chance he hasn't actually had an offer yet, but is talking up the value because he expects one soon.

I thought he was truly dogshite 1st half. As bad as it's possible to be in that position. If he'd played like that for us, we would crucify him on here. 2nd half he was much better but he's got a long way to go before he's proven in the class of Tevez for Premier League & no way on Earth is he someone we could rely on for a title challenge. A worthwhile gamble that could come off specatacularly & be very exciting but definitely a gamble & not worth any more than 30 mil.

HAHA

Exactly. The way Italian football is these days, no teams can turn down big money. I know Udinese is run on sound financial footing these days but they are not in position to reject good money.

That's Pozzo fpr you, he thinks he can play hardball with the big guys but in the end his prized assets always end asking to be sold when a big club comes in and Sanchez won't be an exception.

what did you expect? Milan had won the title already, Udinese just needed a draw to go into CL...it had 0-0 draw written all over it.

Anyway I agree that if someone had really offered 35M euros for him the lad would already be on a plane to join his new club, lol. That is not an amount of money a small club like Udinese cna reject, they can find three or four new Sanchez with that money.

Believe me, mates! El Nino Maravilla could be a new Eastlands heroe! Maybe I watched no more than 4 or 5 strkers in my life better than this guy! Ideal solution if Carlitos would leave us!

I would be tempted to think that noone has actually bid anything for him yet and that this is just an attempt by Udinese to make sure that that initial offers come in at over 35m.

The fact that he does not want to name the club just supports this theory imho.

I really really doubt that we would launch an initial bid of 35m Euros.... when we got players like Silva, Yaya Toure, Balotelli, Dzeko... and JO for less.

;)
