Aguero?!?

Postby Beeks » Mon May 23, 2011 10:51 pm

Its been reported in the MARCA that we are buying aguero..apparently rumour is snowballing in Spain and he has publically stated he wants to leave?!?

Any Spanish watch blues confirm?

Do you think this means Tevez has gone?

Marca makes The Sun look like a fine piece of journalistic integrity.

Still makes me happy to hear:-) But thanks for letting us know how serious to take it!

But hey, if it were in the sun I'd rate it as 1% chance of being true and even if Marca rumor means prob. 0,1% chance of being true it is still more than 0%! :-)

The word is that Real is the front runner. If true, he'd better watch his back.

My bet is the rumor started like this:

Aguero said he wanted to leave - Every newspaper in the world then printed he is going to us.

I don't think he'll go to RM, IMO it is either us, Chelsea or Barca. Hope barca cannot afford him and hope he is smart enough to not go to the RM of the PL *cough* 7managersin8seasons*cough*. That leaves.. us:-)

Our rumored "alliance" with Atletico as one of our brother-clubs vowed to help each other I'd assume we would have the upper hand in any negotiations too.

Come On Lev!!

He's one of the best strikers in the world and only 23!

If Tevez is going he's the only player who could soften the blow for me

He is nothing like Tevez, like was said, he has glass legs. I think the lad is more a playboy than a footballer. I think he had/has and affair with Maradona's daughter or something like that.

Not my first option for a striker, but still, huge talent.

Here is the extract translated from Marca

Sergio Aguero has been on Monday with his agent and his father in the offices of the Vicente Calderon for an hour and a half, although neither Miguel Angel Gil Marin and Enrique Cerezo were in the stadium. MARK Radio has announced the fate of Kun could be the Manchester City and that's what it was to announce the club.

Well, he is married to her.. Don't know about his legs, never heard about him having trouble with them.

He played wide for Argentina in the WC and thus sounds like a player fitting to Mancini's liking.. can play multiple roles. Also think he can play behind a striker.

If we're talking about Aguero as a replacement for Adebayor (because he doesn't want to return/Bobby won't have him) then I'd probably say yes.

If we're talking about as a replacement for Carlos then no.

Actually, as far as playing style goes he WOULD be direct replacement for Tevez should he leave. Adebayor's replacement was Dzeko.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
