Since we won the cup the amount of crap ive been getting off rags is unreal..They really are worried and jealous of us now.
I could always handle abit of stick, but lately im gettin aggressive with the fookers..Anyone else going through similar scenarios?

Staying in-line with what iv just said, here's 2 fantastic articles that i think you will enjoy reading.

Claims that Manchester City Bought the FA Cup Are Hypocritical http://www.epltalk.com/claims-that-manc ... PL+Talk%29
The fans comments on this one are good

Manchester City have had an incredible season after qualifying for the Champions League, winning the FA Cup and finishing the season in third place, tied with second-place Chelsea on the same number of points. They finally got the monkey off their back by winning a piece of silverware, their first meaningful one since 1976.

However, it’s interesting to see what the reaction has been from some rival supporters. Rather than congratulating City on a well-deserved season, rival supporters have thumbed up their noses at Manchester City’s achievements. “You can’t buy history.” “They bought the FA Cup.” And so on. These are just a couple of the many similar comments made against City in recent days.

Rival supporters are trying to dismiss City’s achievements, to knock them down a peg or two. In their minds, anyone can buy a title if they have enough money, But while an infusion of cash into a club’s coffers definitely helps, it doesn’t guarantee success. It can help significantly, but the club still has to perform on the pitch to get the necessary results.

The “You can’t buy history” taunts are nothing new. When Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea, many supporters said the same thing about the Blues and dismissed their achievements by saying that club bought success too. However, the truth of the matter is that all English clubs buy success. Manchester United is a buying club. So too is Arsenal and Tottenham and Liverpool. The list goes on and on.

The claims that Manchester City “bought the FA Cup” often come from Man United supporters. But consider some of United’s stars this season:

Wayne Rooney – Bought from Everton
Edwin van der Sar – Bought from Fulham
Antonio Valencia - Bought from Wigan
Dimitar Berbatov – Bought from Tottenham
Chicharito – Bought from Chivas
Rio Ferdinand – Bought from Leeds
Etc.
Of the 11 Manchester United players who started against Blackpool this past Sunday, only Jonny Evans and Paul Scholes came through Manchester United’s youth system. Everyone else was bought.

Manchester City critics may argue that it’s the extent to how much City paid that makes the claim that “They bought the FA Cup” more real. Looking at this season’s wage bills for the clubs in the Premier League, Manchester City does have a bigger wage bill (£133m) than Man United (£131m), but only by £2 million. If City “bought the FA Cup,” then Man United “bought the Premier League title.” Looking more closely at the wage bills of the Premier League clubs, it’s Chelsea who has the worst wage bill at £174m. But as I said before, money doesn’t guarantee success. Chelsea finished the season empty handed.

So the next time when supporters start a banter about how your club bought their success, remember that all clubs buy success. Some more than others, yes. But we live in a day and age where all Premier League clubs are heavily involved in the transfer market as they try to get a competitive advantage over their opposition by procuring the best talent from England or anywhere else in the world. Manchester City isn’t the only club on this planet who spends a ton of money to help achieve their goals.

my mate at work has been going ott recently saying that we've cheated by having the Sheiks money. When I tell him United have bought their success in the past he says that's ok as United generated their own money.

The United fan's I know have shown themselves to be the real bitters this last couple of weeks.

I seem to be having completely the opposite experience to those who've posted in this thread so far. Working in a bank I get a whole range of clubs' supporters coming in and I would say that 95% are chuffed to bits for me that we won the FA Cup and finished 3rd. A lot of them still saying that City are their "second team" and that after all this time we fully deserve the success coming our way

It ain't all bad lads

One of my mates who is a rag is top guy and proper knows his football. While most them spout a load of shit about City he actually sent me a text after the semi to say well done best team won etc and then before the final text me saying "come on City" :O There are some who know what they're talking about. Very few though :P

Saying that I've got one rag mate who doesn't half talk some shit. To be fair he's got a season ticket for them, but he'll often come out with some bollocks. He is really easy to wind up though. "What's that film with Eric Bana on where he plays an Israeli?".... :)

Very few have been decent! decent people have been decent about it!

Most have been tossers about it! The worst have been borderline threatening! Going-on-and-on about the parade and how they'll have twice as many.

Fortunately the ash cloud has given me unlimited ammunition about their parade! and the very mention of the streets of trafford has their blood boiling!

The continuous mention that Manchester has won its first trophy in 35 has them choking on their pints!

The only fans who are really bitter are the fans of teams we are now in direct competition with or have been in recent years

Rags - Bitter for obvious reasons

Spuds - Possibly even more bitter than the rags at the moment due to delusions of grandeur

Arsenal and Chelski are surprisingly not too bad

Everton - A real bitterness based on the fact they were once on the same par as us

Liverpool - The last remnants of the crumbling empire and their sense of entitlement

same here - i've had nowt but good wishes - even off of the rags! the people who know me know that i've followed this club through thin and thinner, and don't begrudge me one bit of success.

coz they know i'd still be a blue if we were in the conference. in fact - i'd probably go more often!

I've had one message of well done from a rag, the rest of them, along with dippers, toffees rovers etc have been like putting fresh lemon on an open wound...Bitter and sore.

Rags, Arse, Chelsea, Spurs, 'dippers, Leeds, rovers, Newcastle and even 'Boro (with the purchases of Ravanelli Juninho etc) have all in my opinion tried to "buy success". The big difference is the amount we have used, and manner in which it's been spent. We've had a plan, which has been executed with great precision thus far, and one which has received unwarranted vitriol and derision, simply because it has been successful.

If we'd played 11 strikers and been relegated no one would give a fuck.

I remember when ambramovich took over chelsea, as a football fan i was excited to see what great players i would get to watch week in week out. I just dont understand why there is "so" much hatred towards us.

I wore a city shirt under my going out top after we won the FA Cup on a night out at my university, and one bloke saw it and came up to me and said 'city are shit youve bought the FA Cup well done' in a sarcastic tone, i replied that so did chelsea etc this angered him and he said if he hears any more about City he will find me and beat me up..... so as I knew he was a rag, i decided to see if it was an empty threat so I sung City are back in his face....... I was drunk may i add, and he swung for me, i blocked it/he half missed and he fell over spilling his drink down him lol! and my mates pissed themselves at him. Then he just walked off, silly rag twat!
So what if were hated...... I love Manchester City
