City Lies - Captain's Log

OK, we've had the media nonsense all season but we really are seeing silly season starting already. I'd like us to keep a log of what are clearly (or probably) the most obviously outrageous lies, bullshit, trouble-causing, aimed-at-destabilising, sensationalist bullshit "stories" in our lovely media.
We can then revisit a "story" if it turns out to be true.....but I'd like us to track this as we go through the summer when, starved of real football action, we are bound to see even more of this nonsense
So I'll kick us off:
City in talks to loan Dzeko to Juventus for next season
http://www.click-manchester.com/sport/m ... -loan.htmlMancini in growing rift with Cook/Marwood re transfer strategy
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... rwood.htmlTevez to miss parade
http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/pre ... tys-fa-cupVieira back to Arsenal as coach (..."snubbing same role offered by City")
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... eturn.html?
I know we've had several threads moaning about this but I'd like us to just keep this one to note down the most clear utter bollocks....just so we can see how low the media actually stoop this season.

That's how tabloids work. Those are the spine lines for this summer's soap opera and they will carry them throughout the summer. Like for instance, we end up signing some top player for big money and the story will go something like "City sign Messi - Mancini still not satisfield with the owners". I could probably write most of the stories that will be written about us over the summer already now and just change the names when these things happen. In fact, I'm pretty sure they do loads of that ie recycle same stories with names changed.
But it's just not us. They have these stories for all the clubs because they need to sell their worthless papers to supporters of all clubs. Problem is that we used to be Emmerdale, nice little soap with very little sinister in it that only old people watch, and now we are Dynasty, worldwide success and everyone wants piece of us. Also, I would say Doomy is our Joan Collins. Yes, after all the nosejobs.

If Bob makes a few big signings the next story will probably be that Marwood theatened to resign or has a grudge & is trying to get Mancini sacked behind the scenes. Ian Ladyman will probably kick that one off.
All of our new signings, whoever they are, would prefer to go to Utd by the way.

You could lump a whole load of headlines into one section, to save on storage capacity.
It goes like this, and refers to everybody who signs a new contract, starting with Clarence:
"XXXXXXXXX SNUBS MAN CITY MILLIONS AND RE-SIGNS AT YYYYYYYY"

That's usually after the same paper making up the story that we were interested in 'xxxxxxx' in the first place, which invariably, we weren't.

HAHA
Yeah, there was plenty of those last summer. Always made me laugh. "Jason Roberts snubs City to stay in Blackburn". Ok then.

am i the only one who enjoys the tittle tattle?
it doesn't make me cry or get euphoric. everyone complains about it, but we're in the papers because we matter and are a big story. Can't think of much better when it comes to media coverage outside of foundational/charity work in some substantive fashion.
Our internal media crew do a good job of letting blues know the score behind the scenes for the most part i think.
cheers

pmsl. This report is beyond a joke.
http://www.click-manchester.com/sport/m ... tevez.html?
According to reports Juventus are interested in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
Leggo claims Juve’s general manager Beppe Marotta took the opportunity to make enquiries about the Argentine forward while he was in Manchester for the testimonial of Manchester United legend Gary Neville.
It is understood that Marotta sought out Tevez's agent, Kia Joorabchian, to duscuss the possibility of a deal for the City ace.
It is reckoned the pair discussed Juve's interest and that Marotta left the meeting encouraged by Joorabchian' response.

" So Tevez will definitely sign for us then ? "
" Yes "
"...and there'll be no transfer fee, just the 2 million pounds I gave you ? "
" ......erm... I'll talk to you tomorrow....... " (sound of car door slamming, tyres screeching....)

Hahaha fookin brilliant Ted.
Heres another beauty from the same site. Why the fuck are they talking about Christmas now?
This Click Manchester site has to be one of the worse out there.
http://www.click-manchester.com/sport/m ... llamy.html?
Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy will not be receiving a Christmas card from Manchester United's Brazilian full-back Fabio.
The Welshman clashed with Fabio’s twin brother Rafael last year in the Manchester derby.
Fabio told the Guardian the on-loan Cardiff City forward was a “dirty player, always moaning and trying to wind people up.
"He pulled Rafa's hair once and I wanted to punch him."
Manchester United star Fabio attacks ‘dirty, moaning’ striker Craig Bellamy
