I honestly believe we are, in all areas of the pitch.
And that is all.

I think that if it wasn't for the Europa, and Mancini's tactics early on, we'd have been fighting it out this year, even with a squad that was still getting to know each other.

Overall? No, they are better as a team even though I think we got better individuals. Would we do better vs barca? Yes, but we would still lose 2 out of 3 vs Barca.
*edit*
ment vs barca not utd:-)

They have the knowhow and fear factor to win the Prem League. We dont, but winning the FA Cup will deffo make other teams situp and take note of us.Couple of tweeks to our team and we will be thereabouts i reckon.
Next season will be a corker im sure.

Are you being serious? They won the league, we came 3rd. Therefore they are the better team, simples.

As of how we are at the moment and how they are I honestly believe that we would beat them a bit more often than they would beat us. But I think they would still win the league, they have the know how to beat the other teams more consistently particualrly when playing in more than one competition. That is something we still need to learn.
Next season both squads will look a little different and who know how we will develop.

I certainly don't fear them, and they must now have doubts about themselves. that is not to say they wont beat us from time to time, but if we played them next weekend, they are for the taking.
if this season had been extended another month, we would have taken the title.

Being 'better in all areas' individually doesn't count for shit. We're getting there, but they won the league & made the CL final. We went out to Dynamo Kiev.
Not yet, but maybe next season shall give a different answer.

we have better players. they have a better team with a winning mentality. which is why they never seem to be out of a game. (unless it's at wembley)

We are not better than them at the moment. They won the premier league and made a champions league final, we came 3rd and got knocked out by Dynamo Kiev

We have beat them the last three times we have played them.

At the moment I would agree with the fear factor thing, a lot of teams go out with the best interest in playing them man to man for ninety minutes yet switch off after 60. Now I think we have had a taste of the winning mentality we will not be doing that and we have the knowledge of how to play them at their own game. So in answer to the question with Blue tinted specs taken off, yes yes yes I firmly believe we are!!!

Not better at the moment, as this is the end of the season and we are still 9 pts down.
And we still need to do better in Europe. I would like to compare and contrast our records
over the last two months of the 10-11 campaign. Bet they felt us breathing down their necks
at the end.

Id have evra and Vidic over lescott and kolorov but that's about it. If we can instil the team ethic they have we'd be the best club in the country. It will come with your vincents, nigels, micahs and joes in the squad

Ability wise, we are a tiny bit ahead as far as the full squads go,
But as other people say, they know how to do it. They will also have that spirit of 99 too, they dont give up, abit like Liverpool in the 80's.
We still do give up. Hopefully not for much longer.
Scum can win from 2 or 3 nil down, we can't.

I honestly believe we are entering the most important period in our history. This transfer window gives us the opportunity to take that extra stride forward and lift us into a position where we can eclipse the rags for years to come. Yes they have a team ethic and togetherness but my god were they found out to be pitifully short in the quality department . The rags will simply be unable to address this in 2 let alone one close season. Of the top 4 I would say we are the team and squad best equipped in terms of the balance between defensive strength and creativity and goal threat. The PL is there for the taking quite frankly and I´ll be disappointed if we don´t grasp it with both hands. Cook , Marwood and Bob have to get it right this summer because not only can we do it for ourselves but we can also give English football the kick up the backside it needs in terms of winning future CL´s.
Last night was no one off. Look at the rags v Pool , v Arsenal (with no Cesc or Nasri)v Blackburn and of course the semi. Games where United had full strength sides out and came away with only ONE draw. A midfield which relies solely on "runners", players with frankly limited ability AND geriatrics well past their sell by date. Rooney is their only salvation and even he is over-hyped particularly by the domestic press.
Chelsea are also in decline. Lampard will never be a 20 goal a season midfielder again, Anelka looks semi-retired and Drogba no longer has it physically to do it over 38 games. Red Rom´s purchases are getting more and more desperate and thak god we didn´t go near Nandoflop. Terry, for so long the lynchpin will see the writing on the wall and his performance levels will drop even further.
Then there´s Arsenal. A team with an innate propensity to press the self destruct button and implode. Spineless and soon to be rudderless and leaderless. The amount of strengthening needed there from keeper to strikers right through the middle is something
that Wenger seems neither capable of nor willing to undertake
That leaves a stretch the width of an airport runway to go through and a team and club with the wherewithall, financial muscle , ambition and now experience of winning, to leave the rest in their slipstream. A team with a blend of youth and experience, tactically astute and a manager who goes about his business in a quiet dignified manner.
Ladies and gentlemen SURELY, SURELY the time is right , the time is now
Let´s go to work!
