Play off final

Amazing game, could have gone either way in truth but I wanted Swansea to win going in to it so I'm happy with that. A much more interesting away day too

i was pulling for the Royals...it was a fun match tho. My first football match ever was at the Madjeski in 2001 or so one sunny saturday in September when i had to fly in early to get a great airfare rate and landed in Reading on a Saturday AM...i was staying at the hotel attached to the stadium and just had the best day. i started my romance then...who knew it would have ended up like this.

two of my mates, who both happen to be Brummies, have told me that Swansea have the biggest cunt fans in all of England. FACT? or not?

cheers

p.s. i guess "England" isn't what i mean there...laff.

The town is a vile place, and people will get kickings from all sorts while visiting, undoubtedly. Swans fans as a whole though have never seemed so bad to me. Nowhere near as bad as Cardiff, anyway. However, they have a big association with ADO Den Haag, whose fans are the most notorious troublemakers in the Netherlands (after the Moroccans, according to Fidel...), so maybe there's some truth in that statement.

I'm going to have to make it back for this game, though. Bring on fixture list day!

Wanted the Royles myself. Always pissed me off how the two welsh clubs want to have their cake and eat it. They want to have the advantages of playing in the English league and English FA Cup, but then if they get to the final they want the Welsh National anthem. If it's that important to them, then play in Wales.

All interesting points but Madjeski has got shit hair ..... which reminds me of Swales ... which makes me sick up in my mouth

..... sooooo, Swansea for me.

Their fans always used to be yobs, no idea what they'll be like now, Stoke fans were always the same and we were all but embracing them a few weeks ago! However the best thing of all is that when they turn up at COMS and get spanked we can be singing God Save the Queen and Land of Hope and Glory etc to really fucl with em :-)

At least Liverpool fans will get to see their team playing outside of England after all.

Buzzing off Swansea getting there! My Gran lives not far away so it'll give me an excuse to take a long weekend and combine the match with a visit!

(Going down tomorrow should be interesting too)

Had a bet on Luton, Torquay, Hudds and Reading getting promoted so wasn't really bothered what happened after the Dons won.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I've never been well disposed towards Reading since I wasted some valuable money travelling there once to see Ousmane Dabo make his debut....terrible player, terrible City team, shit match too from memory

Plus Madjeski is a prime bellend

I suppose we should also consider that in mitigation they did give us our own in house cloud computing expert so...swings and roundabouts

haha...to be fair that hotel's pretty okay, for reading, no? i liked staying there. the football wasn't terribly exciting, but it seemed like an okay setup and the people were great. it's a small-ish stadium maybe i dunno 25K? i had no idea what i was watching and went on a whim cuz the concierge offered me a discounted ticket.

Bear in mind the next day i actually ended up spending the day at the Reading rock festival watching some bands...it was all in all a really great weekend. Totally unplanned, and really eye opening. Hardly ever happens anymore these days where you encounter something completely by accident which is massive in scope and life-altering. Anyway, more on that later..maybe OT.

cheers

That cant be right about Blackpool as I keep reading how they were a breath of fresh air and took the Premiership by storm ... apparently ...... Hmm, what division are they in now?

i dunno how you could fault them for playing some attractive football with a roster that had no business trying to do so. i wish more would come up and do it...they were a fun team to watch this season. If i were a Tangerine i'd have been proud of the team and their effort and that actually would matter more to me than staying up a couple seasons playing defensive boring horrific shite football. Don't you agree?
