Lennon vs Alexis Sanchez vs Young

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Lennon vs Alexis Sanchez vs Young

Postby PeterParker » Tue May 31, 2011 8:27 am

Let's say Bob is watching the forum everyday while he drinks his morning coffee and wonders what winger to buy and starts listen to the fans. If you were in his shoes, who would you buy, Alexis Sanchez, Lennon, or Ashley Young. Keep in mind that.
Sanchez is the best chilian named on the football map after a while, after Zamorano and Salas. Very high rated, but we haven't seen him a lot so can he be a Premier League Player?
Young, great pace and speed, at the moment Villa's number one. Did a great partnership with Milner, but has a lot of moments when it looks like doesn't even playing.
Lennon, had aswell a great season, scoring a lot of goals and beeing one of the best players that Spurs had. He looks like a younger Swp and at this moment in the first eleven of England's national team, but is Redknapp ready to sell him at his rivals?

So if you would have the money, who would you buy from those three?

Hmmm, Young was a star at times for the Villans but then disappeared up his backside on a number of occasions. Speaking with a lot of my spuds mates Lennon had a fab season and we would weaken them if we got him, he'd certainly provide a different type of outlet and one that might prove useful for Eden.

Sanchez for me is the unknown as I haven't seen enough of him to say yay or nay.

Mancini will know a lot more about Sanchez than anyone on here.If he wants him that answers the question.

What Bob wants, Bob gets.

I think Sanchez, like quite a few City players, is a great talent who's main weakness is his final ball. Bob needs to work on that with all of them, pre season.

Young is going to Man U, to become the 3rd best winger on their books.

I bet Barca are shitting themselves at the prospect of facing him.

think we'll end up with Sanchez - don't think spuds would sell lennon to us - not sure I'd want him either to be honest

Without going into the different qualities of the players - do we fall into the trap of the less we see of a player the better we think they are?

Would rather get Young or Lennon tbh, Sanchez is being reported at 30 million and we shouldn't be taken for mugs.

Lennon is a speed merchant who can't cross for toffee and his shooting is all over the place as well.

Sanchez is bag full of tricks but I'm not 100% convinced he'd be success in England for various of reasons + he has had so far one season is truly top quality production. Talented lad though.

Ashley Young is clever and tricky lad who is good crosser and has decent shot in him. Probably one of my favourite true wingers (I know he has played in more central role as well, you snotty punks, but he IS natural winger) out there and experienced yet relatively young Premier League performer.

Young hands down.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I would say we could use Young and Sanchez, but is it too much to ask for both.....if only....if only....if only we were the richest club in the world and could afford both, that'd be swell.

If I had my choice it'd be Young all the way.

As long as he is as good as Bojinov that's all the matters.

A nice bit of editing,a cheesy Euro trance/emo track and boom a superstar.

Agree 100% Sanchez although talented might be a risk we don't need to take.

Sanchez is for me the fastest and most talented young striker of last ten years of Serie A. No doubts he'll do very well in Premier and Champions League too!

Is this a serious question? In terms of technical ability and raw talent, AY and AL are not even in the same league as Sanchez, who's younger than both. True, Sanchez is unproven in the PL, and he'd likely get kicked to fuck here, but he's a tough kid. Not a diver, not a moaner, and not prone to injury. He will succeed in the PL for someone...hopefully us!

Besides, would you really fancy having Lennon's stupid eyebrows in our side??

Lombardi has confirmed we are not interested in Sanchez saying he has scouted him and he is "more suitable for serie a" we are however interested in any one of the Napoli forwards (cavani and co) so there you go - point made!
