Fabregas

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Fabregas

Postby Ruthless » Tue May 31, 2011 1:31 pm

Its been posted on another forum Cesc Fabregas is "on holiday" in Abu Dabhi it has also been reported in the Mirror today that Barca only wanna offer £30 mil for him whereas Arse are asking for £60 mil and they are more likely to get it from us? does anyone have any info on this

I can see us bidding for Iniesta which would give them the money to land Fabregas or us just blowing them out of the water financially to land fabregas given he is supposedly in Abu Dabhi and Mr Mancini has publicly stated he wants the player plus supposedly asked Silva to get in his ear does anyone actually think either of these could be real possibilities?

Wow. I could never guess which forum that might be.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

1. Fabregas has stated if he leaves Arsenal it will be for the nou camp only.
2. If I had his money I would also holiday in Abu Dabhi
3. Get yourself into the mindset that nothinig is true until confirmed on the OS, OS Twitter or OS Facebook pages.
4. This will be the craziest close season ever as we have the clout to actually bring in top quality Champions League players, dont let it get to you or you will be in the nuthouse before long.

David Silva = Fabregas (but our David is a class act and not a diving cheating whingebag)
Fabregas > Silva because he is not afraid to shoot and scores and assists more

I dont want Fagbregas, great player, but Silva floats my boat, he is a genius. As someone once said on here, we all wondered what it would have been like to have Ali B when he was in his prime.... well we need not wonder anymore.

Nial Quins discopants.........

Its a serious point mate and a serious question of does anyone have any info on this matter? also I raised a question of does anyone think either of the two scenario's i stated could happen? Why not try n be constructive and debate the subject? As a mod I would have thought you were above the childish put downs, we're grown men after all aren't we?

Players like Fabregas and Silva would gel well together in the same team and as for Ali B well..... he could finish, something Silva has to add to his game as it is the one area that seriously lets him down

It wasnt a childish put down mate and if it came across that way I apologise. We are linked with a ridiculous amount of players all for stupid prices. £158m for tranny, £60m for Fabregas etc, we have already stated we are tweaking and not spending like we did the last couple of windows, the nuthouse thing was a good humoured advice only. You will be sick of debating idle gossip and paper talk come august!

I want Mancini to move quick, then slam the door shut in incoming and outgoing players. Thus, Sanity restored.

I'd love him here - perfect for our setup in my opinion - can't see him replacing silva just playing a little further back i.e. in yayas current position (puttng yaya in barrys current position)

HOWEVER
I don't think I could bear him constantly going on about Barca for the whole time he is here

I think he would be perfect for us and I think we are the only team with the cash to get him (except maybe Chelsea). But I don't think he'll come here and to be honest I would'nt want him.

He would be perfect as a player but he would NEVER be here for long as he is basicly just waiting to go back home and we would never hear the end of it from the media. Plus I doubt he'd go to another English team but you never know in this crazy world.

If he were to come (HIGHLY unlikely), I cannot see him staying more than one, max two seasons before demanding to be sold to barca and since we are so "rich" we should let him go on the cheap right?

Surprisingly, our David scored more league goals this season than Fabregas! - Cesc didn't even manage to outscore Lescott (both got 3 goals).

You were spot on about the assists though ;o)

I don't doubt for a second that your question was serious. It's just that I've seen this million billion times before. Someone in Bluemoon thinks it'd be "wicked" to start a rumour and see how far it goes. It usually goes like this player X (usually some player we have little chance of signing) has been seen in place Y (places as different as Arndale centre or airport or indeed in Abu Dhabi) ----> What do you people make of it?

As these stories almost always turn out to be unfounded these people either never show up again (were probably rags on a wind up) or say that it was just harmless bit of fun and people shouldn't be so serious. That's how many people roll in Bluemoon. And there's not much wrong with that if that's what does it for them during the long summer months. But I quite like that this place is usually kept clean of those rumours.

And I wasn't trying to put YOU down at all. I though your question was sincere if slightly misguided. But as an apology I give you an answer.

I'd hate the "I'm going to Barcelona next year or at least year after that" show that would follow him. I think he is one of the better playmakers of our era and have always admired his football skills. However he has said many many insulting things about our Club, the way we play and the way our ownership is set up so I don't like him as a person. + imaginery card waving is probably the most annoying thing in modern football and he is probably the worst out there. I hate it even when our own players do it. Iniesta is super brilliant player who I absolutely LOVE watching. One of my favourite players in the world actually. However I don't see single reason why he would even consider joining us. He is playing for best team in the world right now. Hell, that's the best team of past few decades. He is close to home and I'm sure earns good money. Also, I'm sure everyone in Barcelona KNOWS that while Messi is the superstar, that whole team is built around Xavi and Iniesta and they are the ones that really make the whole show work the way it does.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

they are the both the creators in the team, whether one plays wider than the other is up for debate. How do you see the positions they play and how they this makes a difference?
