That is one hell of a lot of transfer activity in 4 years, and we are now the FA Cup holders and in the Chamions league.
It makes me think where the hell we would have been without ADUG and formerly Thaskin as without him, we would not be here.

I think Caicedo arrived in Jan '08 mate. But still.... worlds apart.
EDIT: So did Benjani and Castillo. Maybe you've got the end of season squad up?

Elano could play some matches here and there for us and matter. i believe that. and it wasn't just the free kicks, pens, and through balls if that wasn't enough -- i loved those long cross pitch volleys when he played fullback. remember those? he was a player that could find a way to elate you or make you crazy...wish we'd found a way to get into his head and get the best of him. Promise unfulfilled for sure.
cheers

Elano was a great big fucking fairy.
The saddest thing imo is that brief season when Ireland turned from being a lazy half arsed twat, to one of the best midfield players in Europe, then decided to turn back again. If he'd remained as Superman, rather than changing back into Clark Cunt, he would be the absolute perfect partner for David Silva now.
What a tragedy. What a tosser.

It's funny looking over that squad, how your perceptions change depending on what quality you're used to. Or maybe clutching at straws is the term. I thought Gelson was improving dramatically, and would develop into a top-class midfielder for us, or being down at Villa Park and (a) being overjoyed at getting to see Bojinov lead the line, because clearly, he was about to score at least 4, and (b) when Boji inevitably broke both his legs whilst tripping over an ice-cream wrapper, thinking that Ched Evans would hold the ball up really well and allow Etuhu to make surging runs that would really test their defence.

Haha...I was laughing away after reading your post - so, so true!
Ched Evans was abysmal for us. I regularly questioned how he became a professional footballer!

I think one of the reasons Ireland turned out so well, was because he linked up really well with Robinho. Him and Robinho seemed to create a lot of creative moments.

I thought, and still think, that Bojinov was at the time one of the brightest talents in Europe. He looked just like Shrek as youngster for Fiorentina. Had it not been for injuries he'd have turned good player. It's just that he was never fit and lost all his match fitne¨ss and his development stopped completely.

When Willo Flood and Lee Croft broke into the team I was convinced we'd be challenging for League titles in a couple of years time.

How (or why) the fuck is Shaleum Logan still at the club? He must be about 29 by now.

Because every successful club needs a right-back who tries but fails to grow a 'tache.
