shocking. i still think he would have been smart to investigate the West Ham story...but who doesn't love an American owner more than the 2 silly cunts running the Hammers?

Be interesting to say what that cunt on the Sunday Suppository says about him leaving Fulham in the lurch after they gave him a break. That twat that always slags City off for sacking him.

He's out of contract. Thats not leaving them in the lurch.

They also hardly gave him a break. They were happy to give him a one year deal knowing fine well it was a short term appointment and he would be off to a bigger club when the oppertunity arose.

Good news for villa fans imo - start packing your bags dunney. Stevie Ireland is still their player though isn't he? Be interesting to see if Hughes can work his magic again

Bollox Ross. They gave him the chance to manage again in the top division and he doesn't want to carry on after just one season?! Fulham were left in the shite when Hodgson fucled off to the dippers and Lesley should have shown more loyalty but he's a devilworshippin, rag bastard, so what more should we expect I suppose. Wherever he ends up, I hope he fails miserably and I hope his kids walk backwards. And he can shove his Taffia up his rag arsehole.

Phew, glad I got that off me birds nest.

He was given a one year contract and to the best of knowledge he wasnt offered another one. I am not sure what he has done that is so wrong.

If he had a contract for next year and was breaking it I'd get your point but he's a free agent and can do as he wishes.

please...you'd rather be at Villa than Fulham any day of the week i think.

Also, he signed a one-year deal, he had an option i think to renew it, but didn't. He's not stupid and neither are Fulham. This was always a one-year gig unless he fucked it up sideways and he has done about what you'd expect from someone with that squad after the high of last season turning into a bit of a sophmore slump. He pulled them back out of that and did a reasonable job in the second half, and merits consideration for a bigger job. That's the role and the challenge.

???
Left Wales to join Blackburn: No hard choice there. Anyone would leave a part-time job if they were offered a full-time one.
Left Blackburn for City: Possibly 'disloyal', I suppose, if you want to think of it that way.
Fired from City: No disloyalty there.
Left Fulham when contract expired: Could have gone either way, so no disloyalty there, either.

He is still a cunt though, you have to admit that?

I am softening on him after time has passed, but I would love to see the cunt at Chelsea....that would be funny.

I wonder what Dunnie is thinking at this moment?
I wonder what Ireland is going to say to explain the "Hughes ruined me" article

Hmmm, we might well see some transfer activity at Villa this season

Villa fans seem to think Lerner's first choice is Ancelotti, and he kept harping on about wanting to stay in England. Don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Hughes is going to Villa.

As an aside, I wonder who Fulham will go after? Maybe a good place for O'Neill to get back into football?

Good shout.

I also like how Hughes's last act as Fulham boss was to get them involved in a Europa campaign that will inevitably affect their league form (to the benefit of his next club).

I know, hindsight and all that, but do you think MON would've quit Villa if he knew he'd wind up at Fulham or such?

Also, Villa are not considering Hughes according to Sky Sports.

Not really. Never was one of the 'Hughes Out/Hughes Bitters' crowd.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Chelsea until now: wasn't he considered by them before he came to us? Also, isn't he a Chelsea fan? I'd be really surprised if that's who they plumped for, though.
