City outbid Barc?
Barcelona bid for Fabregas lower than Man City, but they still expect to winThe Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona saga is now hotting up, and the Spanish giants are feeling confident that they will get their man, despite higher bids from both Chelsea and Manchester City.
According to reports in Spain, the Arsenal captain will tell Arsene Wenger that he won’t accept a move to any other club than Barcelona, thereby forcing the Gunners manager to accept the Catalans bid, no matter how much Roman Abramovich will pay to take him to Chelsea.
The local Catalunya Radio station has already reported that personal terms are agreed between Fabregas and Barca, and it is now a matter of Arsene Wenger sourcing a suitable replacement for the 23 year-old.
Roberto Mancini has announced he wants Fabregas at the Eastlands as well, and Man City have the cash to outbid anyone, but Pep Guardiola is quietly confident that next season will see Fabregas playing for the European Champions…..

Sky Sports understands Jackshit .... Twente push for Guidetti deal
Man City starlet deep in negotiations with Dutch side
FC Twente have pushed ahead in their bid to sign Manchester City youngster John Guidetti.
The Swedish striker is out of contract at Eastlands and although he has been offered a new deal, he believes his future lies elsewhere.
The 19-year-old and his father, Mike, travelled to Holland for talks with Twente two weeks ago.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has reported that Guidetti has agreed terms and could sign on Friday.
His agent, Per Jonsson, claims that may be premature and although he was surprised Guidetti had to undergo a medical at that stage, he confirmed Twente are still in pole position.
"It is a weird way of doing it," he told Fotbollskanalen.se. "The club has wanted to do everything in Holland.
"I couldn't go down there, so Mike went down with his son to look at the club. There's nothing wrong with that.
"I really don't know in what order things were done. I haven't heard anything since.
"Twente's sporting director has been frustrated that nothing has happened yet but I haven't been in the negotiation room so I don't know," Jonsson added.
"Nothing is done yet, but Twente is definitely an option. We have been to other places as well."
Although Twente are leading the race to sign Guidetti, skysports.com understands there is still strong interest in England.

Chase on for City keeper
Highly-rated Colombian international set for loan
A host of clubs are hoping to seal the capture of Manchester City goalkeeper David Gonzalez, skysports.com understands.
The Colombian international joined City in January 2010, but he is yet to make his first-team debut.
He spent time on loan at Leeds last season, acting as cover for Simon Grayson's side.
City rate Gonazlez very highly, but they want him to taste first-team action with a view to him returning to Eastlands and being part of their first-team set-up.
With that a host of League One and Two clubs are battling to land him on loan for the season.
Skysports.com understands the likes of Preston, Rochdale, Yeovil and Bristol Rovers are all interested.

Thanks for the Memories: 10 Players Who Will Leave Manchester City This Summer bollox

CLUB TRANSFER BOLLOX
Manchester City
Priority for the summer? Adding quality to Roberto Mancini’s squad ahead of Champions League campaign.
How much is there to spend? If Carlos Tévez leaves, the budget could be as much as £100m. If he stays, then more likely to be £50m.
Who might arrive? Hopes of signing Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez are fading, so attentions have turned to Napoli trio Marek Hamsik, Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi. Could rival United for Wesley Sneijder and, if they get encouragement, will test Arsenal’s resolve over Cesc Fabregas.
Who might leave? Plenty of dead wood to be shifted this summer. Wayne Bridge, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Shay Given, Emmanuel Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz, Felipe Caicedo and Jo can all go. Out of contract Patrick Vieira set to leave too.
When are they back in action? Return to training on Jul 4, then head to USA for three-game tour before taking part in Dublin tournament at end of July. Face Manchester United in Community Shield.

Forget about the summer of love, toss aside the arrival of punk, and do not even bother bringing up Brit-pop, for it is official: there is no better time to be young than now, in 2011, the year the Who were always singing about, when simply having a creaseless face, dimples and two working legs can make you a stonking millionaire.

Imaging waking up this morning as either Jordan Henderson or Phil Jones. A 20-year-old and 19-year-old respectively, barely old enough to drive and yet now able to buy a BMW every other day of the week following their transfers to Liverpool and Manchester United, both of which should be sealed within a matter of hours.

By the weekend their lives will be filled with so much cash and excitement that they will not know whether to laugh or collapse crying in panic. A call to their mums may follow, or even a brow-furrowing reflection on their incredible rise to prominence given that between them, Henderson and Jones share just one senior England cap, and that in a friendly.

It is a lot to take in, so these likely lads should take comfort from the knowledge that they are unlikely to be the only ones fired with two barrels into the spotlight this summer. According to this country's press, there are many more to follow …

Having bagged Henderson, Liverpool will now try to secure the signatures of Ipswich's hulking 18-year-old striker Connor Wickham and 21-year-old Croatian defender Dejan Lovren, from Lyon. Those tyros will then be followed to Anfield by the practically ancient in comparison Scott Dann (24), Charlie Adam (25) and Stewart Downing (26).

At Old Trafford, meanwhile, Jones should soon be able to make friends with 25-year-old Ashley Young, who has reportedly rejected Merseyside for Manchester having told Aston Villa that he wants to leave the club pronto.

Chelsea are also getting involved in a spot of child snatching, expected as they are to make a move for "Belgian wonderkids" Romelu Lukaku (18), from Anderlecht, and Racing Genk's Kevin de Bruyne (19). The Atlético Madrid defender Diego Godín is also linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal, those kings of kid-buying, are setting their sights at slightly older targets, with 27-year-old Christopher Samba and 25-year-old Gary Cahill once again rumoured to be on their way to the Emirates. Across north London, Tottenham are also sniffing around slightly older meat, rumoured as they are to be chasing Stuttgart's 24-year-old centre-back Serdar Tasci. But Harry Redknapp, too, is hunting youth, with the 21-year-old Brazilian striker Leandro Damião also supposedly on his way to White Hart Lane.

And it is not just the high rollers who are feeling young at heart. Stoke, for instance, want 22-year-old Jack Collison from West Ham, while Sunderland, flush with their Henderson windfall, are chasing 23-year-old Darron Gibson, alongside his more seasoned United team-mates, Wes Brown and John O'Shea. Peter Crouch, Sebastian Larsson and Coventry's Keiren Westwood, are also on Steve Bruce's mind.

And finally, at the complete other end of the scale, Swansea apparently want to follow up on their £3.5m purchase of Danny Graham by signing veteran Spanish international midfielder Marcos Senna, from Villarreal. The Euro 2008 winner is 34 years old, making him much older, wiser and successful than Henderson and Jones, but, in all likelihood, less likely to earn the many millions they eventually will. Kids of today, eh?

Doncaster Rovers mascot sacked for underwear pose bollox
Tracy Chandler Tracy Chandler said she had put blood, sweat and tears into being Donny Dog
A woman who parades as the mascot Donny Dog at Doncaster Rovers has been sacked after posing in her underwear with the costume in a national newspaper.
Tracy Chandler, 40, said she received an email dismissal from the unpaid job after she appeared in the Sunday Sport in return for a donation to a children's charity.
She is urging fans to write to the club in an effort to get her role back.
Doncaster Rovers have refused to comment.
Image
Ms Chandler said: "The photos were tongue-in-cheek and not seedy."
Although there had been no written contract with the club, she had been working as a mascot for over three years, she added.
"I did not tell the club I was going to do the photo as it all happened very quickly.
"I have put blood, sweat and tears into being Donny Dog and doing the charity work, and this is how they treat me."
Ms Chandler, who claims she is the only woman mascot in the country, was approached to pose for the photos after an article about her appeared in another newspaper.

The picture was for the same charity that the Doncaster Rovers players stripped off and created a naked calandar for, hypocritical male chauvinist tossers.

Nice tits btw.
