Could be anybody but I'd put us well down the list. I'm sure he'd be a great signing for short term but unless it's some sort of a swap deal, he doesn't fit any of the criteria Bob & Marwood have been talking about recently. I'd be surprised (& pleased) if we signed him, for that reason.
Ferguson likes the occasional veteran, so that's not impossible & a swap for Drogba is also a possibility but also; wasting the money from a Modric sale on a 30 year old with no resale value & paying outragous wages which totally fuck up the club's structure would be pure Harry, so that's a possible scenario too.

agreed...not exactly "one for the future"...sure he could have a season or two, but we ought to be looking for the "new Eto" imho.
cheers

Still better than Shrek..
Maybe he is not fast as he was in the days, maybe he has fitness problems, but he is still a goal machine in front of the keeper and he will be even in 3-4 years, if he will still be playing.
How was that saying.. form is temporary, class is permanent
Bring him in.

Absolutely!
He still has a few years left in him no doubt - super fit athlete. There's fuck all wrong with mixing older and younger strikers. It would help us win the league I reckon.
Class player.

FFS you can't accept an opinion? I haven't head him say not even once, i am not going to City, and i am not refering at news in papers. He scored 252 goals in his career and he can still score a bunch.

What a perfect summation of the Cockney brown envelope merchant; nice one Ted.

Once Villa sort themselves out, they may put in a cheeky bid. Likewise Fulham (with Big Al as owner, you should always expect the unexpected).
Doubt he'd accept either in the next couple of years, though, and is probably aiming for a top 6 club.
