Not because he is bad, because his style of play will take longer to mature than Abramovich's patience will tolerate. The premier league is a different animal to the Portuguese league after all, he can't cut and paste his Porto philosophy into this league, he will have to adapt things to suit, which will take time.
Chelsea will likely not win anything this year, but should they stick with Boas, long term, they could be an incredibly strong force. He is a superb manager, one who if Bobby ever left us I'd fancy here.
Lets hope he gets the backing at Chelsea his talent deserves.

The dressing room is easy. Tactics and footballing philosophy is the tricky bit.
From what i've seen of Porto, they play nice attractive football, free flowing. Trying to translate that will be tough in this league.
Remember when Sammy Lee tried to make Bolton into a passing side... don't think he got past 10 games in charge before he was sacked. Of course in that example Sammy wasn't working with the same calibre of player, nor was he the same calibre of manager, my point is in theory your tactics and ideas may be sound be translating them and getting it to click takes time, which is something managers seldom have in this league.
Villa Boas has a tough job on his hands if he takes it. Good challenge though, make it at Chelsea and the sky's the limit for the guy.
